Saturday June 20

Good Morning!
First thing this morning I finally got the anti-virus downloaded on the desktop downstairs. In the meantime while it loaded I got a lot of papers looked through on my desk.

Steve bought a salt water filtration system for the pool yesterday so I had to meet him at Wal Mart to get it to his house as well as 280 lbs of salt. I had him get the smaller kids one of those blow up pools while we were there. He's invited some of his cousins over tonight to swim and have a bbq. I told the grandkids they could come and swim too. However, it's been raining non-stop since I woke up. I hope it stops soon and the sun makes its appearance.

I also got my other $25 in amazon in the mail from gather yesterday.
I need to look through my email for my $5 amazon from quickrewards, and I have a code for a day pass at winster which should get me enough today for the $5 there too. Then, I will get my bookshelf ordered!

I need to also get My Homeschoolbuy Auctions updated today too.

Tuesday June 16

Good Morning!
Last night I was playing at winster.com and had 4 spins left and had just spun the last winnie I needed for a jackpot when the tornado sirens went off. I unplugged the laptop from the power, cashed in my jackpot, and spun my last 4 spins....then we lost electricity. Good thing for the light of the laptop as we searched all around for any candles we could find. We didn't get power back until after midnight...and I wasn't smart enough to turn off the light switches, so about the time I was finally able to get to sleep.....BAM! all the lights come on LOL

I am about to head out to sewing club. I must remember to grab my camera on the way out the door to get some photos.

Looks like now possibly they will start the work on mom's bathroom tomorrow...I sure hope so! I'm glad it wasn't today since I will be 10-3 at sewing club and no one else was comfortable about staying at Starla and Steve's without me there (well, other than Jasmine)

I better run and get a few more things done before leaving (can't take the laptop with me, already tried twice and no wireless connections available from my church at all)

Good morning! Almost afternoon...
The weather is beautiful today, sunny and no wind to chill the air.

I slept in until 8:15. I spun some over at winster before starting anything. I then did my 2 daily posts on gather and then built a squidoo lens all about gather that I hope you will check out. Gather The BEST in Social Networking

I don't have any real plans today, just to do all I can on the computer which includes all the paid to clicks that I can, working in my gmail on gather notifications, catching up on my yuwie comments.
I started working on organizing the board games last night and putting them on a shelf. I plan to finish that today and other housework.
I need to get ahold of my son to come pick up the roaster, the turkey and other foods for tomorrow.

Sunday November 23

Good morning. It's a gray dreary day out today. I need lots of lights on in the house so that I won't feel so tired.
I am late getting this written as I chose to spin my winster spins first thing. I am just going to have to get up to the 1,100,000 pts for another $5 amazon and stop wasting my time there. The lag was bad enough as a paid member but as a free member, those videos that play on the side really do my computer in.

I did more messing in squidoo looking at others lenses than anything else yesterday. Today I want to mostly work in my email account.

We are going to have to figure something out on the transportation. I was laying in bed last night and realized that the kids need to be making it to Sunday school as they will be practicing for the Christmas program now. Allen was disappointed to find we weren't going to church today since he can now take communion.

Guess I better get to work on that money making so I will leave you today saying to have a very blessed Sunday.

Wednesday November 19

Good Morning.
My daughter didn't show up to take Allen to school. I took the van, which was not smart. I put water in it before leaving, which all of it was out by the time I got back home....or well, the rest of it spewed out in to the driveway. The whole motor is covered with anti-freeze.
No one picked me up from work yesterday so I ended up walking home. I don't have a ride to work tomorrow so I do plan on taking the van as the high is only 40! Just say a prayer that I make it there and back.
Regardless of the money, I think it's time for me to put in my 2 week notice to quit. I'm not going to make enough to get another vehicle anyway and I can't expect someone to take me and pick me up each day....and they aren't reliable to do so anyway. I will not walk to work in winter! That measly $8.56 an hour I get is just not worth it and I only work 3 hours a day, 4 days a week on a full Headstart week.

I've been working daily on crafts and trying to list something each day that I can. I have enough supplies on hand right now to do several crafts too.
I am waiting on a reply back from the owner of homeschoolbuy to see if he is going to truly fix the glitch in the auctions. If he doesn't soon then I am moving all those books over to blujay as well.

I'm paying attention and doing more of the survey sites. And, I did get in on the Ghiradelli chocolate with shespeaks!!

I did decide for sure to cancel my paid membership with winster. Since I can't earn enough points in a month to cover the $5 then I just can't do it. It will take some pressure off anyway and free up time. I can play as a free player when I have the extra time in the day and still eventually earn enough points.

I've been pretty much keeping up with cutting and sorting my coupons. This will help a lot on saving money.

I guess I will quit going on for today, only an hour left now before I have to get off to work. I will be safe today and walk since the weather is decent.

Saturday November 15

Good morning!
Not much going on today. I would like to go shop at Walgreens as they are offering the coupon for $5 off $20 purchase. However, my rebate money isn't on my gift card from last month, and I am just not happy with what they are offering in this month's rebate booklet.
I have to wait for my son to come over some time today and check out the van. The hood latch broke so that is the first thing is the get the hood open. Then, something is whacko with the thermostat and it bounces all around and I am getting no heat. After one trip out yesterday it was smoking and smelling like antifreeze bad.

I'm in the process once again of trying to put in a video with no luck. I've tried the Willo in the leaves one a couple more times with no luck either, and it's the cutest.

I think I will concentrate today on using up my 1200 spins on winster and see how many points I can get. I am wondering though if I shouldn't cancel my paid membership and just play as a free member when I have time. It will renew again on the 18th. I sure like the 4 times the points for being a member, and also that you can log in and collect your spins and not lose them if you don't use them. It just takes so long to play and I can't do anything else on the computer at the same time due to the lag.

Wednesday November 12

Good chilly morning to all. It's freezing here right now, but supposed to get up to a high of 55. I don't like scraping ice in the morning. And, it appears the thermostat has now gone out in the van, and it jumps to 200 degrees within driving a block and the heater or defroster never does get warm. It shouldn't be the heater core, as we replaced that this past February.

I don't have any real plans other than work today. Well, after work I need to go to the bank and cash my Jerky Direct check and head to Wal-Mart to buy netting. I do also need to get this poster of mom's that I sold wrapped and taken to the post office to mail.

Today I will share my The Vision Board book review on gather. The Vision Board Book Review Any views help me to earn more points on gather. I am currently just under 500 pts away from my next $50 in Amazon.

Wedesday November 5

It's over and Obama won, which is really what I expected. I guess now we sit back and see if he brings about all this "change" he is promising. Personally I think it's up to the people to change, I'm not sure the government can do it.
Recently I've joined several groups at gather.com that have to do with money, saving money, living a more frugal lifestyle etc. I've been finding the posts to be very informative, encouraging and helpful.

I didn't get much done on the computer yesterday and hope to do a lot on here today. I need to really work at gather, catch up on my yuwie comments etc. I also need to get some much needed housework done as well. The rest of this week won't be so full of appointments. Allen is out of school on Friday so that gives me an opportunity to stay up a bit later Thursday evening and sleep in a bit on Friday.

I sat and got a lot of coupons cut out while we bowled last night. I will be working on getting the rest of them cut and sorted through Friday and getting my shopping list made for Saturday. I really must do a lot better on saving at the grocery store than I have been.

For now I am off to do what I can on here before work. I may skip winster today past logging in since I did cash in for another $5 in amazon yesterday. It almost made me late to work though as I was determined to play until I got that million points LOL

Election Day 2008

Election Day. Tuesday my busiest day, but it's not like I couldn't have voted ahead. The plan is to drop Heather off at her math tutoring then my mom and I will go vote while she is there.

Normal Tuesday plans: work, Heather to math tutoring, Mom to the doctor, quick supper and off to my bowling league. Add in today the voting, and this evening Jasmine is jumping for Jump Rope for Heart.

I'm heading over to play at winster. I didn't have time yesterday morning and can get to the million points for another $5 amazon to add to my saving for that laptop I am going to buy.

Good Morning!
I don't think there will be too much excitement today. I am off work. I hope to get these other 7 listings done on homeschoolbuy, build at least one more squidoo lens, and then do anything else that I can get done online.

At some point we have to get out and pay for new tags for the van...other than than, no plans outside the house. Woo Hoo! I'm going to think today is Friday LOL

Tuesday October 28

Good Morning.
I was wrong about the weather yesterday. It was cold and stayed that way. The wind was chilly. Today's high is 60 and they are still saying a high of 69 for Halloween but now they've added partly cloudy and breezy to the mix.

Today is Tuesday and as you know my busiest day of the week. I took Allen Jr. to school this morning. Soon enough I will head out to work. Instead of math tutoring today for Heather, she has a dentist appt. A little after that it's take my mom t her dr. appt. Home, a quick supper and off to the bowling alley.

Once again, I didn't post anything extra at gather. Instead, I spent a couple of hours putting together my lensography on squidoo. I hope you will check that out for me. Marsha's Lensography

I guess that is it for today...really need to get in my winster spins this morning....or at least log in maybe just to get them on there might be good for today since (yippee!!) this is my last day to work this week!! I will have more time to get the spins played.

Saturday October 25

Good Morning.
We made it through last night with no one sick (that I know of) I really figuredI would be typing this after my trip to the library book sale.
The granddaughters are waking up down here. I will wake Jasmine up when I am done typing this for her to go with me to the book sale.

I haven't been doing at gather what I should, so today I will share a video with you of some of Willo's first steps.


Since I won't have time this morning to play over at winster I'm going to head on in the msn live and play a few games there, then do winster once I am home. If you haven't checked out the msn live games, they are really neat and I've gotten in a lot of things with my points I earn to use towards Christmas, or other, gifts.

Thursday October 23

Good morning!
It's still rainy, windy and pretty cold outside. The weather is turning too cold too fast for me. The furnace is running and running. I went ahead and plugged in my space heater down here in the basement last night.
Except for a glitch in the bathroom sink, the plumbing is fixed! The plumber will be back today with the part he needs for that sink. He doesn't repair his damage to walls and such, and not sure if Interfaith Housing will do it, but for us it's worth it just for it all to be fixed.

Today is one of my busy days. This morning we (my mom, myself and my oldest daughter, Elizabeth) all get to get commodities. This will hold us over until the 8th of next month with the Angel Ministry food Liz and I will pick up this Saturday.
After work I take Heather to her math tutoring, then a bit later in the afternoon I take my mom to her dr. appt. I am hoping to get in my Walgreens shopping this afternoon as well.

Gather put in their new albums in the photo sharing portion. I spent all afternoon and in to the evening getting my photos put in to albums. It's a pretty neat feature.

I need to move on and see if I can get my winster spins done before we have to go pick up that food. I slept in 20 minutes later than I should have.

Monday October 20

Good Morning. Already the 20th....seems this month is going by fast.
Having trouble getting my grandson to cooperate this morning for school and his mother didn't show up to take him. Ten more minutes and he is late and he's still not dressed or had any breakfast. gggrrrrrr......

I still didn't take the time to get my newest squidoo lenses listed on the side there, maybe I might get that done by tomorrow. Not sure what today is going to bring. I really need to get to the doctor and find out what is wrong that is making my back hurt so bad. If I call and can get in this morning then I will call in and not go to work.

Wednesday October 15

Good morning!
The rain hasn't stopped yet. Now they say by tomorrow then a little warming trend. Mom is thinking of turning on the furnace as it's reading 60º on the thermostat.
Today is my payday so I will end up out and about all afternoon today paying bills and such. I am finally going to get these rugs and my tennis shoes to the laundry mat.
The kids will have Awanas this evening.

Thursday October 9

Happy birthday to my Jasmine today! She is now 12 years old and hasn't been my baby anymore for some time.
We got to the store last night and bought her ice cream. We got hamburger patties and hot dogs, the buns, and the fixings for the bbq she wants to have. We still have to get her cake today. I have a potato salad recipe that I printed from a gather post that I want to try out too.

I made it to work and back yesterday with the help of Steve. Later in the day the other guys came and got the donut spare put on my van to find that it was pretty flat. They got air in it and this morning it's still up thank goodness. I hope I can get by driving on it until payday next week. Jasmine and I walked to the store and shopped while they were working on it then they came to pick us and the groceries up.

The party went well for me last night even though very few were there. I got 2 orders for Jerky and a total of 12 dish scrubbies ordered. with making the scrubbies and the hotpads and coasters that I gave as a prize I will be busy this next week. I also won another prize last night bringing me to a total of 6 for the event! And....I also was drawn to win the grand prize. The 4 days of partying ended up being a real blessing for me and will sure be a great help as I am gathering items to give for Christmas.

I am off to see if I can get in some spins over at winster. The last few days I've only been there about long enough to log in and gather up my spins for the day. I was very impressed with winster! When I cashed out for my $5 amazon, within minutes I had the code.

Sunday October 5

Good Sunday Morning!
The concert at our church last night was nice. I took some photos and videos. I will do more today. I will post the videos on gather as well as do a photo essay.
I look forward to the dinner after church today.
Once home I want to concentrate of getting my house back in to order. With being busy and worrying about getting things looked through for the yard sale I've let other things slide.

I tried to play some winster this morning but the site is down for maintenance. All I got to do yesterday was log in and get my 300 spins. The good thing is as a paid member you don't lose the spins that you don't use each day so when I log in later today I should have 600 spins. At least that is what another member told me.

Today I have my weekly Mail Call post to share with you from gather. I did pretty well this week including getting in another $50 amazon card from gather! Mail Call! Week of September 28

Guess I better start waking up kids for church to make sure we are there early enough to get our back pews.

Monday September 29

Good Morning!
I'm typing this in a hurry before I have to get Allen to school. My van is not running well at all...acting like it doesn't want to run! My son couldn't figure out what was causing it.
We have some plans today of insuring my son's car and they are going to let me drive it since they aren't supposed to be driving it.
Nothing else going on today that I know of...I need to be cleaning up this basement.

Friday September 26

It's noon. I am trying, trying, trying to figure out this affiliate stuff and squidoo.
It's been a good morning, I played my 300 spins at winster, a couple more days and I can cash out for $5 amazon. I just got back from taking my mom to the doctor and doing some grocery shopping.
I doubt that I will find time to post tomorrow. It's my mom's birthday for one. The morning starts out being at church by 8:30 am for breakfast and cleaning. Right after that I get to pick up the food I ordered from the Angel Food Ministries. From 3-7 pm, the Cosmosphere is having free things for national museum day. They are calling it a Night at the Museum. Mom wants to go for her birthday, which is great, it will be both educational and fun. I'm not sure what the evening will bring.

Sunday September 14

We did end up going to the fair yesterday evening.
Yesterday was about the perfect day too. We stayed about 5 hours. We collected a lot of free pencils, pens, rulers etc. We rode the fair train. We got some food. It was fun even though all I could do once home was to fall in to bed.
It was super hard to get out of bed this morning too. I had to get up early as this was the first day of Sunday school for this church year. I also wanted to get a roast in the crockpot for dinner.
After church I took a long nap...then what did I do?? Someone gave me an invite to winster.com...ok, that is just too addictive...once I used my 200 free spins I paid the .99 to buy a day pass and get 300 more spins. Any of you want to join and play fun games? If so, just let me know.

Today I will share the photo essay I did on some of the pigeons at our state fair. I know most won't find it of interest, but I had to go in and take a good look after reading the book, Superdove. Pigeons at the Kansas State Fair 2008

I think the roast is about done, and a little later I have Bible study. I don't think...or sure hope not....that this week will be near as busy as the past week!
