Good Morning!
I got busy this morning with some housework and also looking through coupons for today's shopping trip. When I came over to the computer I couldn't get online. I'm here to tell you that I don't like the automated system that cable has now. I was pretty sure it was the modem or the wireless router but I didn't know what to do about it. It took 45 minutes to finally get to unplug the router, and plug it back in, whic is what got my internet back....sigh....

Jasmine and I will walk to the store today. My mom said when she called time and temp this morning it said 50º that is what the predicted high it for the day. I hope I don't walk outside to find it colder than that!

I am doing a lot of sorting and reorganizing. I really need to get the address cards done and into my file box. I have made myself a big enough box that I can keep my envelopes, cards, stamps, etc also in the box. I'm to all the monthly cleaning items that I put to start in April. It is making a difference in the way the house is looking, so I am happy about that. Yesterday having to go to work put a damper on things, but I am catching up on the cards that I didn't get to.

I didn't seem to do much on the computer at all yesterday...and well, not seeming to get much done today either. It really pays to find the time to keep your coupons cut and organized. I am having to go through what is in my binder, what is in the abc file box cut and ready for the binder as well as stacks of uncut inserts to get ready for my shopping.

I will stop boring you today, maybe I will have something more exciting tomorrow...although I do plan on sleeping in tomorrow since there is no school, and it's my big cleaning in the basement day...it never ends does it?

Sunday April 5

Good Morning. I wanted to get my blog written before heading out to church. I am on altar guild this month. I am having Steve get me there this week. Next week for Easter we will ask church members to get the whole gang there.
I woke up, went upstairs, looked out the back door, and what did I see? It's snowing! shoot....
I hadn't done my grocery shopping for the week. Last night I got to thinking about how today's high was only to be 40 so at 7 pm last night I gathered up a few coupons and Jasmine, Allen and I walked to the store and back. I spent more than usual, although I did have a plan for meals in my head.

I didn't get as many books at the sale yesterday as I usually get, but I have 2 piles to finish getting photos of and then get listed. I want to try to get them all listed between today and tomorrow evening before I do my online party. Then, of course, hope that we can get some people in to the party.

I updated Our Unschooling Journey 2 squidoo lens yesterday. I also updated my Traffic Galore lens.

I have a daughter not getting up and around for church, so I am going to close for now. Have a very blessed Sunday.

Tuesday March 31

Good Morning!
Amazingly, almost all the snow from the snowstorm over the weekend is now melted...all 18 inches! Jasmine and I walked to the store yesterday.
I was really disappointed when I went in to the Spring Fling yesterday to find out that it was cancelled....I had worked so hard preparing for it and advertising it, and well, was really in hopes of making some money selling things to work towards getting the van running again. But, the owners son was in an accident and family does have to come first. I've not heard anything yet on how her son is, or if yesterday will be rescheduled to another day. The Spring Fling is set for day 2 tomorrow, however, yesterday was the only time I was scheduled to present my crafts.

Tonight is bowling....just 2 more weeks after this week. I will miss my weekly night out, but at the same time appreciate the break over the summer months. Just so much I am trying to do.

I didn't really get anything done...a couple extra posts on gather, one to say I was going to have a busy day, then another one telling about the Spring Fling being cancelled. I didn't do anything on squidoo other than rate and comment on a few lenses of others. Can we say non-productive? I did finish the plarn shopping bag, and will get it listed in my blujay store today. I'm going to cut all my netting while working on here today to get as many dish scrubbies made as I can.

Good Morning!
They are calling for a winter weather advisory by later this afternoon with winds upt to 50 mph and up to 6 inches of snow....disgusting I tell you!

Yesterday what quite the day...only one thing I really would like to repeat. It started out normal enough with me taking turns between doing things on the computer and cleaning. My daughters boyfriend got my van home. Jasmine and I walked to the grocery store. Today would have been my normal day to shop but with colder weather today and having to walk I hurried and got out coupons and we headed out.
I got home and the mail had come. I got notification that I won $250 in the Guilding Light Sweepstakes through vocalpoint.com (that's the part I would love to have a repeat of!) Not long after that, our dog, Malachi got outside and down the alley to be attacked by a large dog. Poor guy! We couldn't stop the bleeding on his side. We attempted to get the guy who owns the big dog to help with money to get him to the vet with no luck. That made my daughter's boyfriend mad, which is turn he then got the police involved...long drawn out story, but we did get the money up to get our Malachi to the vet where he had to have 2 stitches and was put on antibiotics. If the police hadn't been called our little man would be home with us, but because of them being called, he is not at the animal shelter for 10 days of quaranteen. We found out his rabies shot was the 1 year one so he was behind. I miss him terribly and so does everyone else, it's going to be a long 10 days before he gets to come home. And, we have to pay out another $160 to get him from the animal shelter as well. It costs just under $140 at the vet last night.

I have a couple of photo essays and my shopping trip to post today.

I didn't get a thing done on squidoo yesterday, in fact, I don't think I opened it at all. I also didn't end up getting that book listed on blujay either. I hope for a much more productive day all the way around today. Since I don't have the van to drive I have nowhere to go today. My mom has to pay someone else to take her to the dr. appt.

Wednesday February 11

Good Morning. The weather took a turn from yesterday. Now they are saying snow this morning, but still a high in the 50's so it will melt soon away. Yesterday was just gorgeous..it's hit just over 70, and with a slight breeze. Jasmine and I walked to the grocery store and to the dollar store. On the way home I stopped at a small used car garage and asked what he could sell me for the $500 I had in my wallet. I came home with a 1986 Safari van. I wrote up an article on gather about it, asking opinions on whether I should keep it or take it back. I got mixed opinions for sure...some say congrats, some say good deal for the money, others say take it back, or it can't be worth anything for so little money. I hope you will take a look at the article and also give me your opinion. The Van that I Bought

I was disappointed this morning to find that I had only made $1.52 for December with squidoo. I think I know why though....I don't know when, but they changed it where it didn't automatically set you to all cash, while building the lens you had to go in and mark that. I didn't discover it until about 20 lenses later...they are all set for cash now. I got so busy walking to the store, then buying a van, then bowling in the evening that I barely did anything online yesterday.
I'm so tired this morning that after I type this I am going back to bed for a bit.

Jasmine is excited that I will be able to take her to Awana's this evening. My oldest daughter needs a ride to take care of some medical card stuff. Heather has a dr. appt, this afternoon. It will be another busy day with little time on the computer!

Tuesday January 20

good morning!
It's going to be another nice day here in Kansas. By Friday it's supposed to drop way down and be cold again.

I feel I got a lot done yesterday. I put in a book listing on blujay, I crocheted on the plarn shopping bag, I got most of the coupons cut out, and I made a squidoo lens, which I will talk about a little later.

This evening is bowling, that is always fun. I'm supposed to pick up a bunch of bags from a lady on the way there. I have a dr. appt. this afternoon and may end up having to walk to it as I don't have a ride, nor do I have money to pay for a ride.

I'm going to share a recent video we did of Willo in the playroom. Jasmine took the video.

Now, on to squidoo. I built my 43rd lens yesterday. This one is just for fun...anime fun. I took the photos that Jasmine has saved on this computer so far and put them into a lens. It's pretty neat. I hope you will check it out. Anime Fun

Thursday December 11

Good morning! It's a crisp chilly morning with no wind.
Yesterday was just bad....my son drove over here needing a driver to take him around, I was the only one here. As soon as I got done with him he did get me to my dr. appt. However, no one picked me up and I had to walk home...now that sucked! Thankfully there wasn't much wind, but it was only 30 degrees. I was in a bad mood and my legs felt cold the rest of the evening.
Today Heather has her math tutoring so hopefully my daughter will get her there and home. This evening I have church council meeting but I have a man from church picking me up for that.

I am working on some dish scrubbie orders. I need to have those done by tomorrow evening to be off in Saturday's mail. I still have several hair scrunchies to crochet. Some of the scrunchies I am sending to a lady on the Christmas wishlist group who is collecting little things to make stockings for the needy. I also need to get all my Christmas cards addressed and ready to mail as well. This is always such a busy time of the year for everyone.

Today I am featuring the squidoo lens that I built on the traffic exchanges that I do. I am signed up for more that was is listed, but these are the ones that I enjoy the most. Traffic Galore

Wednesday November 19

Good Morning.
My daughter didn't show up to take Allen to school. I took the van, which was not smart. I put water in it before leaving, which all of it was out by the time I got back home....or well, the rest of it spewed out in to the driveway. The whole motor is covered with anti-freeze.
No one picked me up from work yesterday so I ended up walking home. I don't have a ride to work tomorrow so I do plan on taking the van as the high is only 40! Just say a prayer that I make it there and back.
Regardless of the money, I think it's time for me to put in my 2 week notice to quit. I'm not going to make enough to get another vehicle anyway and I can't expect someone to take me and pick me up each day....and they aren't reliable to do so anyway. I will not walk to work in winter! That measly $8.56 an hour I get is just not worth it and I only work 3 hours a day, 4 days a week on a full Headstart week.

I've been working daily on crafts and trying to list something each day that I can. I have enough supplies on hand right now to do several crafts too.
I am waiting on a reply back from the owner of homeschoolbuy to see if he is going to truly fix the glitch in the auctions. If he doesn't soon then I am moving all those books over to blujay as well.

I'm paying attention and doing more of the survey sites. And, I did get in on the Ghiradelli chocolate with shespeaks!!

I did decide for sure to cancel my paid membership with winster. Since I can't earn enough points in a month to cover the $5 then I just can't do it. It will take some pressure off anyway and free up time. I can play as a free player when I have the extra time in the day and still eventually earn enough points.

I've been pretty much keeping up with cutting and sorting my coupons. This will help a lot on saving money.

I guess I will quit going on for today, only an hour left now before I have to get off to work. I will be safe today and walk since the weather is decent.
