SHOPPING ONLINE BARGAINS—LAYER THE SAVINGS!
As part of the “Heroes at Home” world tour, my team of experts and I traveled to various military bases bringing helpful workshops. In this ongoing tour, we visited military members and their families around the world, sharing advice and practical tools on how to cope with the military lifestyle. We also offered money management workshops and taught them how to layer the savings. After our tour, we heard from hundreds of these families who had cut their online expenses in half! Here are three steps to save big online:
Step #1: Use a Shopping Robot. Go to MySimon.com, Amazon.com, or Bing.com for shopping robots that will search the Internet for an item and locate the best deal possible. Once you’ve finished the first step of finding the best price, you are ready to add the second layer.
Step #2: Use a Coupon Code. Once you’ve found the best price possible, the second step is to layer in a coupon code. Just go to a code site such as RetailMeNot.com or CouponCabin.com and locate discount codes to save even more. Sometimes these codes are for free shipping, gifts, or percentage discounts. There are also apps such as RetailMeNot that you can use on your smartphone while you are in the store or when shopping online.
Step #3: Use Online Rebates. The final layer is to receive a rebate for your shopping by going to eBates.com or SlickDeals.net. Some of these sites offer referral bonuses for encouraging your friends to sign up for the deals. There are hundreds of participating online sites that offer rebates for your purchases if you take the time to search them out and follow their instructions.

Squidoo Hopping 2/20/14

How is everyone this week?
I'm still using not feeling well as to why I'm not getting much done.  That's not the only reason though.   My computer is being whack.   I am scheduled to take it in on Monday.  Within 45 minutes something is causing it to slow to a crawl.  I am having to restart it over and over all day just to regain speed for a bit.  It's quite frustrating to say the least.
It's stopping me from getting to many of my websites, including squidoo.

I was glad to see payday even though mine was just $6.32 plus the 10% that went to charity.  A few sales in December for Christmas gave me most of that.
I know that payouts for lensrank have been down for quite some time now.   I still don't know on the lenslets how they, or if they, pay as far as lensrank.
If you know, that would be a good comment for this week.

In the meantime, please do share your any posts you have made about squidoo over this past week as well as choose 1 or 2 lenses that you would like to share.

WIP Wednesday 2/19/14

Seems to me that I actually got in a lot of work this week!  I've gotten in work on several of my projects.

Here is the rug so far:
I got a start on working on hexagons finally!   I'm not sure if you can really tell just how many hexies are in the box for me to make up, but I plan to do all of them to make into different projects.  My first goal project is a table topper.
I did a little more work on my yo-yo table runner.

I got 2 more rounds on my log cabin quilt blocks.  I am working on squaring them up now.   Once I get this part done I am going to pack these up to work on during the retreat on Feb 28 and March 1.   I have to cut more strips to pack up as well.
I finished up the scrappy rectangle quilt top!
Last but not least, I sewed together 2 scrappy rectangle table runners.

I told you that I've been busy.......seeing all of these photos, now I know why my house is such a mess!  hehe  Maybe I should work to remedy that today.   I do have needlers group this afternoon where I plan to work more on the hexagons.
