Shop Hop Saturday 8/20/11

Good Morning---it is still morning as I type this.
I woke up extra early to have a garage sale but found that it was raining.  I wanted to go back to bed but instead I decided I should get to work on my online business stuff.

I went and added more items to my zibbet store.  It's slowly growing.  As a free member I can have up to 50 items listed.  I'm still debating on the paid membership, but that will come after I close in on the 50 items listed and see if I get sales as well.    While I was there I found some cool banners to help promote (like the one below).   I put the banner in reallysmartdeals and in easyhits4u.

Speaking of reallysmartdeals---all of my sites in rotation had ended so I spent a lot of time putting in products.  I put all of my zibbet, all of my etsy, all of mu zazzle and some of my blujay store items.  With my $1.99 a month membership I can have up to 125 items in rotation.  I got up to 91 put in today.   Reallysmartdeals offers something cool---a rotator link.  This link will randomly put up one of the items I have listed.  You can check it out here: http://reallysmartdeals.com/rotator/59846
Now, where can I rotate this?  Most traffic exchanges don't allow the rotators since it does rotate urls and any of them could be a virus.  I have it rotating at easyhits4u.  I don't really do any other traffic exchanges anymore other than reallysmartdeals.  Any ideas?

I have work to do in blujay.  They are requiring that you now put in isbn numbers for books you have for sale.  For the books that I didn't put that in the description I will have to drag out the milk crates of books from the middle closet to get those.

I'm trying to decide what to do about homeschoolbuy.  Seems for whatever reason, there are over 1000 members but for the longest time I've been the only one listing anything.  I'm thinking of moving the books over to blujay.  That way they don't expire so I don't have to remember to go in and update them before they expire.  Good idea, just will take a lot of time.

That's my report for this week.   Click the button below and hop along with abitosunshine!

Shop Hop Saturday 7/9/11

Good Saturday!  Time for Shop Hop with Ruthi and abitosunshine.

I have a few more pics that I want to make into zazzle designs.  I do hope to get some things done in there this week.

I've listed 2 more items in my etsy shop that I completed this past week.   I'm really starting to rethink etsy.  I think it's a great website for selling hand crafted items, but I'm just not getting orders.  When you list there is a .20 listing fee per item.  The listing stays up for 90 days.  The 90 days is good...if it sells.  If it doesn't you have to pay another .20 to re-list the item.  Which, I have done so over and over.  Most of my items are low price so relisting them really takes a chunk out of the small profit that I earn on my items.    I'm thinking that if they don't sell, going ahead and posting them over to my blujay store where it's free to list.  What do you think?

Here are my 2 new items:
Polka Dot Fabric Bag

I had taken the time to re-list school books over in homeschoolbuy--not all of them, just the ones that were still available to just hit re-list on from the ended list.  I've not taken the time to keep them up.  I think I will give up on homeschoolbuy as well since for whatever reason, I am the only one who lists there!  I am debating----just put the books out in our yard sale, or copy the listing over to blujay.   The items don't end there until they sell, or I choose to end them.

Debates debates debates....all I know is that I need to earn some money!

Shop Hop Saturday 3/26/11

Did you miss me Shop Hopping these past few weeks? I knew I would miss the Saturday that we moved.  I didn't intend to miss the following 2 Saturday's as well  :(

We've been in our new house 3 weeks today and it feels wonderful!  It also feels like we've lived here for years instead of just weeks.  That's the thing I love about this house.....how it felt like home before we even moved in.

I've been staying busy, which is nothing unusual.  I'm even pretty close to having everything unpacked!  Last Saturday I participated in a Monster Garage Sale hosted by out newspaper and held in a building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.  We had a good time, even though I did spend just over the amount that I sold.

I've had some orders during this 3 weeks as well.  I sold all 3 of the plarn shopping bags I had crocheted.   This means it's time for me to get out my pattern and make some more!  I have loads of bags cut to make the plarn with.

I also sold 4 fabric bags.  Two were in my etsy store, the other 2 were special order.  I have another special order to buy material for today for 3 more fabric bags.  They are by far my most popular seller.

Anyhow....after the garage sale, I sorted books.  I couldn't re-list all of them easily so only 34 are currently listed on homeschoolbuy.  I will get more listed eventually, but after letting everything expire while I was so busy, this is a good start.  I hope you will click over and check it out.  And, if you have any homeschool or homestead items to sell, please give homeschoolbuy a chance.  It's free to list, and I am the only one who currently has anything listed!  Marsha's Homeschoolbuy Items.

I will also direct you to my etsy shop.  I have reposted all inactive items and currently have 47 items in my shop.  Marsha's Etsy Store

While I'm add it, how about checking out my zazzle store as well?  I really need to get busy and get some more items created here.  I really need to make this a goal for this week.  I have saved lots of different photos to make into products there.  Marsha's Zazzle Store

Squidoo Hopping 3/24/11

Welcome to another week of squidoo hopping!

I'm still going to work from the bottom of my lens list.

Homeschoolbuy--  I finally got to re-listing books on this website.  I ran into trouble re-listing as they weren't all there, but I'm done for now until I add a few more books.  Then, I've spent over an hour trying to update this lens!  I didn't have the pics still on my computer, and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to save them from the auction site.  It will only let me save them as .php files, which can't be opened.  gggrrrrr.....but it's at least updated finally.  I hope you will check it out and consider selling on the website as well.  The purpose of the lens is to get the word out about it.

Next is line is my pets lens, but it also needs to be updated to take out photos of animals we no longer have, and add in at least the cat we now have.  Maybe I can get around to undating it sometime before next week.

With Violets by Elizabeth Robards--this is a book review lens.  I've not updated it, but hope you will click over and help it climb in lens rank some.

Shop Hop Saturday!! 1/15/11

Business wise I didn't get a lot accomplished this week.

I did get some more updating done with my homeschoolbuy auctions.  This is a slow going process as I've let over half of them end and now have to wade through to re list the books.  I will get there!

Otherwise, I started ironing material and cutting strips for my next quilt.  I had to find a day that I had time to finish up the quilt I had previously been working on.  I found that time yesterday and stayed up until after 1 am last night to finish it up.  It's pictured below and is now listed in my etsy store!

I made a listed a set of 4 purple dish scrubbies and a set of 4 black dish scrubbied in my etsy store.

I listed a set of 2 Joseph Wambaugh books, and a lot of 11 Cross Stitch and Country Crafts back issues in my blujay store.

I re-did one of my business squidoo lenses.  Sample Gal changed hands and formats months ago and I finally took the time to check out the changes.  I had to totally re-do my lens on it.  I hope you will check it out  :  Sample Gal (now Derby Girlz)

I slacked on my squidoo lenses, which I can't afford to do, need to keep them updated and fresh.

Resolutions Journal Week 11--April 10--April 16

As a reminder:

My resolutions for this year include:

1. Using the exercise equipment we have on a regular basis.

2. Reading whenever I get a chance so that I can do more book reviews and in turn turn those book reviews into squidoo lenses.

3. Getting back to my online business. As a whole I call it Gifts Galore and More, but includes everything that I do online to earn money.
I will be updating or building a new squidoo lens each day, working on getting crafts made and listed for sale, getting more books listed for sale, etc.

4. Getting my blog back going again.

Week 11 Accomplishments: April 10-April 16

Started reading my next book, Evan's Castle

Started reading another book, Hollywood Station. I figure I can try to make time to read one at home, and the other keep in my purse for reading while I'm out, and hopefully get more books read that way.

Listed a boatload of books and a set of 6 Little Girls Bracelets in rainbow colors in my blujay store.

I completed the quilt I was working on and it is also listed in my blujay store.

Added to and updated my homeschoolbuy auctions.

Updated Side Tracked Home Executives, 4 Weeks to Healthy Digestion, My First Quilt, Forever, Blankets for Christmas, Our Garden 2010, My Favorite Childhood Toys, Earn Money Online, Helen Steiner Rice, and Living in the 80's squidoo lenses.

I also started to become active on redgage. I'm having a good time and adding friends everyday. But, having a hard time understanding just how you import, or auto import.
I got a referral and won $25 in the daily drawing!
I am marsha32 there if you are a member and want to connect....or if you would like to join, you can put that in as who sent you.

As you can see, I've made it 2 weeks going pretty strong working on my squidoo lenses, although I didn't get one built this week like I wanted to.
I'm also keeping my blog going very well as well.

Have an awesome week until my check next Friday night!

Resolutions Journal Week 6--March 6--March 12

After keeping track on gather for 5 weeks on my resolutions, I've decided to continue to keep track of what I am accomplishing each week here in my blog. (I did win a box of 100 calorie snacks for doing the resolutions journal entries on gather)

As a reminder, here are my "resolutions" for the year:

Week 6: March 6-March 12 accomplishments:

Updated homeschoolbuy auctions

Updated Crash, online parties, and REO Speedwagon squidoo lenses

Cut t-shirts to crochet with and made another t-shirt hand bag. I made a second bag for an order from a lady at church.

Worked on plastic canvas baby blocks and cross magnets, but didn't finish any.

Finished reading Hollywood Crows and got my book review written on gather.

Listed the newest t-shirt handbag in my blujay store.

As you can see, I'm not doing well with the exercising. I'm finding myself so into doing my crafts that I'm not wanting to take even a few minutes out each day on the equipment. I do want to change that as I know it will help my stamina...as well as the way I look.

Good Morning!

I want to get back into my blogging. Yes, I've said that many times over the past 7 months.
Moving changed a lot of things for me....most, not for the better.

I've been working on getting my online "businesses" back in order.

I've been adding new products to my blujay store

I've been buiding more squidoo lenses and updating at least one each day. The latest one I've built is Owl City

I'm still plugging away at gather! I love gather as it is my highest earner each month still. I'm having fun posting daily Quips and Quotes throughout the week. I'm also still posting my shopping trips. I'm keeping up with both of my groups... ~3,000 Here We Come!~ and my newest group Colors Colors Colors, where I choose a new color to feature for the group members to post on each week.

I've been adding more books here and there to my homeschoolbuy auctions as well.

I printed off some recycled craft crochet patterns. I'm wanting to really get back to business with getting crafts made!

that's it for now :) Have a great Tuesday!

Friday July 24

Good Morning.
Since I no longer work it's hard for me to say Thank God It's Friday. (I didn't use to work on Friday's)
Today's plans include taking my middle daughter to an appt at the health dept....taking my son to work this afternoon....eating out with Steve and his family this evening...then taking my son's girlfriend to work....and picking my son up from work shortly after that.
In between I will do a little housework...not much to do today other than clean inthe kitchen. I will be working on my dish scrubbie orders, and I want to work on my quilt to get all my squares pinned to sew tomorrow. I will, of course, be on the computer too.

I got a Bible School Photo Essay put in to gather yesterday. I did my last Investing for the Future post on gather yesterday and I woke up this morning with this feeling of what next. I've been in gather working in my friend feed and then working on post from my group. I'm a little less than 300 points away from my next $25 paypal cash out.
I also updated my Homeschooling lens on squidoo.
I worked on updating my homeschoolbuy auctions.
I even got more of my blujay auctions in rotation at reallysmartdeals.
So...I did do some actual work on this computer yesterday!!

I'm off for today. Here's to an awesome start to your weekend!

Saturday June 20

Good Morning!
First thing this morning I finally got the anti-virus downloaded on the desktop downstairs. In the meantime while it loaded I got a lot of papers looked through on my desk.

Steve bought a salt water filtration system for the pool yesterday so I had to meet him at Wal Mart to get it to his house as well as 280 lbs of salt. I had him get the smaller kids one of those blow up pools while we were there. He's invited some of his cousins over tonight to swim and have a bbq. I told the grandkids they could come and swim too. However, it's been raining non-stop since I woke up. I hope it stops soon and the sun makes its appearance.

I re took the flower closeups of Starlas flowers and got the pics posted in a photo essay on gather. Flower Close-Ups--Photo Essay
I also got my other $25 in amazon in the mail from gather yesterday.
I need to look through my email for my $5 amazon from quickrewards, and I have a code for a day pass at winster which should get me enough today for the $5 there too. Then, I will get my bookshelf ordered!

I need to also get My Homeschoolbuy Auctions updated today too.

I'm off to get these things done. Have a good Saturday!

Saturday June 13

Good Morning!
Jasmine and I got up early and headed to church to help set out the rummage sale items. We found some pretty cool things to buy cheap too. I got plenty of craft supplies.

We are heading out now to my great Aunts. Today is her 89th birthday. She's not seen baby Jacob yet. How many of us are going?.....10 of us! After we visit there we will go back to the church and help pack up what doesn't get sold. They will take it to the Goodwill store, but it's also then up for grabs to take what we want since they are just giving it away. I don't think I need to take anything, but who knows.

I didn't learn my lesson last time for not keeping up with my homeschoolbuy auctions. I let 42 auctions lapse that I had to relist. That took me about 4 hours yesterday but it's done! I have a weekly card in my card file to update the auctions there, but haven't kept up with my box for about a month now. You can check out the books I have for sale if you would like Marsha's HomeschoolBuy Items

Off we go! Have a great Saturday!
Marsha

Saturday June 6

Good Morning! It's yard sale day. I am so thankful to have this laptop so I can earn on here with the little bits I am earning at the sale.

Yesterday I totally forgot to write my blog until it was after supper time. It was my usual day of late with going here and going there. When I wasn't running I was still looking through all I could to get ready for the yard sale.

Nothing productive going on. I did get into reallysmart deals and get 100 of my blujay items listed to rotate while I looked through books on the bookshelf. Reallysmartdeals is geared towards what you have for sale on auctions and other such websites. If interested, it's a great exchange.

I need to go through and upodate my homeschoolbuy auctions. I even found some more books that I want to get listed too. That won't get done into next week. The bathroom is being redone here at least Monday and Tuesday and we aren't allowed to be home 9-3 each day due to them taking down lead based paint.

Guess I will move along...and try to find a way to plug in this laptop before the battery is totally gone.

Have a great Saturday!

Saturday May 23

Good Morning. It should be another good day weather wise. They are calling for some rain tomorrow and Monday for the holiday.
Tomorrow we are going to Great Bend with my boyfriend and his family for a family reunion. I may or may not find time before we leave to post here.

I did some updating in squidoo yesterday to these lenses: Superdove, Gather--The BEST in Social Networking, and Crash. Today I will build the 3rd lens in our Unschooling Journey series.

I'm heading next to update the relistings of my books on homeschoolbuy.com then it's off to play my spins on Winster for the day. I've already played my limit of the mahjong on iwon this morning before I even started doing anything else on the computer.

I have this big fuzzy cat laying on lap. He thinks he's a tough guy and goes outside trying to chase away the stray neighborhood cats, but he is getting all torn up. I am trying to keep him inside!

I'm going to end now as Saturday at home and on the computer is a short day now. I have lots I need to get done before we head to Steve's for the evening.
Have one awesome Saturday,
Marsha

Wednesday May 13

Good Morning! Looks like we might have some days now without rain. I wasn't chilly when I walked out the door this morning so that is a good sign for me.

Looks like the grocery store has some great deals this week. I've busily been printing more coupons. I hope you will check out the coupons that coupons.com has to offer right here from my blog. Oscar Mayer bologna is the stock up I am going to do. It's on sale for .88 and the coupons are $1/2. We will have quite a few packages in the freezer! Go to kraftfoods.com to print even more. Another good coupon is the $1 off Kraft bbq sauce. Here is only sells for $1.08.

I usually go to the store on Thursdays but I think I will go ahead and go get the deals today. He never brought that car back to me, which tells me that the brake lights not working was yet another electrical problem. I hate to call him as he's getting upset over how often I check in, but I need to know what's going on with it. I don't want to ask him for my money back on the van, I'm in hopes he will, or can find me something else decent to drive.

Hey! I actually got my other books listed on homeschoolbuy yesterday despite hours and hours of playing that mahjong game at iwon.com. Marsha's Homeschoolbuy Auctions I also updated my Homeschoolbuysquidoo lens. I hope you will check it out. We need more than just myself selling there! As of right now I have the only listings in the homeschool category. I would love to see more of you list. It's totally free unless you choose to put in extra features. Please check it out.

I am off now, it's laundry day plus I have so much more cleaning to do otherwise. I told Jasmine if she even sees me open iwon to come kick me!

Marsha

Thursday May 7

Good Morning. Looks like it's going to be a gorgeous day outside. High today is 83...however it then drops back in to the 70's for days after that and looks like more rain.
We got some flower seeds planted yesterday in front of the house. I found out the people next door have put their house on the market so we need to do what we can to clean up our yard to make it look better. I sure wish I could buy the house! My mom lived in an apartment there as a child while my grandpa built this house. Then my other grandma lived in another apartment there while I was growing up. When I was first married I lived in yet another apartment in the house. It's been years now since it was bought and turned into a one family home. Maybe it's just sentimental, or maybe it's because it's a HUGE house. They are only asking $83,000 which is an awesome price.

I didn't get to listing those items again on homeschoolbuy...will I get it done today? Stay tuned tomorrow to find out LOL
I need to, as I said, they won't sell if they aren't listed. I need to make some money to at least pay up the cable bill. I'm going to try to sell my old van for junk today to pay a fraction of what my bill is.

Steve called yesterday and I guess they want to do a big bbq at their place Sunday for Mother's Day. That will work, and also give everyone a chance to see the new house they bought. I will get with him more on it later today. I have a dr. appt. this afternoon and will call him to let him know how it went.

Someone posted on gather yesterday about a child excited that his father had finally bought him a gaming system but they had no games to go with it. An Atari 2600!! Well, we still have our old school Atari and boxes of games. I pulled out all the games and came up with 30 we have doubles of to send him. I hope he enjoys them and in the 30 are games like frogger, pac man and ms pacman, as well at some driving games, shooting games, word games, and bowling. My kids still have a blast playing the old Atari games from my childhood!

I better head out to get some other things done (like adding those books for sale) Have a great Thursday!
Marsha
