Saturday August 2

It was a HOT one out there yesterday taking my mom to pay her bills and such. Well over 100. We are in a heat advisory until Monday evening. They are saying on the news that if you don't have to go outside, then don't. I believe it, it's horrible out there.

I imagine we will go to Steve's after supper and swim.....that is if he's got his pool cleaned up. He made the mistake of letting neighborhood kids in and it got dirty fast.

I didn't get Ariel's furniture finished yesterday, in fact I didn't even get the one chair finished. The chair and the chaise lounge are difficult and extremely frustrating to put together. The tables and benches weren't hard at all.

Yesterday I did a photo essay about some of the homes in my neighborhood on gather.

As I've been saying....stay cool!

Friday August 1

It's here....August. Only 12 more days now before school starts, and sometime before that I will have a couple of meetings for work. Blah! is all I have to say.

Today's my mom's payday so we are about to head out for the day to take care of her things. It will be a long day, but I am in hopes of finishing up Ariel's furniture set while we are out. I have the 2 lounge chairs to make and the cushions for them.

I'm sorry, I was wrong yesterday. With the link I gave for my gather photo, clicking next just put you back on the same photo. You would have had to click photos at the top then clicked the first one to use the next button. I didn't write anything yesterday except my daily Christian Investing for the Future. If you are interested, you can find a full list of my articles at Marsha's Gather Posts

Sounds like the kids are up and getting breakfast so we will soon be leaving for the day. Stay safe, stay cool, and count your blessings :)

Thursday July 31

Here we are to the last day of July. I woke up this morning and found it to be foggy outside. I don't even remember the last time I seen fog!
It did stay cooler yesterday and I hope it will today too.
I start off by taking my mom to her doctor this morning, then this afternoon she has a dentist appointment. I think that is all for today.

I did get some cleaning and organizing done down here in the basement yesterday around my internet. I still have a ways to go to get this place the way I want it. I do have enough at gather for another $25 Home Depot card so will cash out for that today. Then I can get more plastic totes.

Speaking of gather. Yesterday I put in 12 pictures. I am going to link to one of them, and then if you would like, you can hit the next at the top of the picture to go to the next one, and so on.

Stay safe and take care my friends,

Wednesday July 30

Looks like maybe the sun is going to shine today after a day of mostly rain yesterday. The coolness of the day was great.

I have no plans for the day so in hopes of getting a lot done on the computer and some more organizing done down here in the basement.

I will pretty short today. I am going to switch the programs that I have in my business email over to my gmail. I've been ignoring my gmail pretty much since doing gather, and therefore ignoring the paid to reads, but I really need to reach payout with those.

Today's gather article that I want to share is a photo essay about my church.

May you have lots of blessing this day,

Tuesday July 29

When it decides to rain here, it really decides to rain! When it decides to be hot, it's really hot! Rainy today but thankfully a lot cooler outside than it has been.

It's been a busy day here. I had to take my mom to the doctor this morning. While she was there I did some grocery shopping nearby. I barely got her home and the groceries put away and it was time for my dr. appt. We weren't home long before it was lunch time, and after lunch I took her back to the dr. Later I will have to take my son to, and pick him up from his Tuesday evening meeting. I don't know what the rest of the evening will end up bringing.

This month is coming to an end. Enrollment for school is Thursday, the 31st! School is starting early for our area. The first day being August 13. I always start my girls on their home schooling Aug 1, the first day of the fiscal school year. We do this to get in days before I start my lunch aide job to get a head start. I spent what little time I was home this morning printing out 36 weeks of schedules for each of them and starting to round up their texts and such to get ready for next week.

I will end today sharing an article that I wrote on gather yesterday about the house next door. The House Next Door

Have an awesome day!

Monday July 28

Good morning. I got busy doing a million things yesterday and it wasn't until about bedtime that I realized I hadn't done my blog.
Steve came with help and they got the old roll top desk out of the corner of the basement. That was a couple of hours cleaning up a mess, mopping with bleach, then remopping with my Mr. Clean. I'm finding lots of interesting items that belonged to my uncle in the 1950's inside the desk.

Liz's bf says he is buying a swimming pool, so I also worked on and off clearing a space in the back yard. Time will tell if he really gets it. It's brewing up a storm outside right now. I hope the cloud cover means a little cooler day today. It was over 100 again yesterday and so humid that as soon as you walked outside your whole body covered in sweat. It was to the point of unbearable.

I took some pictures at church yesterday to do a photo essay at gather. I have some other ideas in mind too. Today I will share Freebies--Week of July 20

I also want to make note that I have added the banners of the paid to click/money earning sites that I do on a regular basis to the bottom of my blog here. I've talked about them in my blogs, and I hope you will check them out.

I think today's only away from home plans is my mom's regular Monday dr. appt. Tomorrow is filled with myself, Heather, and my mom having dr appts....oh boy...

Until tomorrow, stay as cool as you can,
Marsha
