I've not written a "journal" entry blog post for our homeschooling in some time now.
It seems that since Christmas we have had so few days that we actually got in a good amount of book work in a day.
It seems it's just so much unschooling now! Let's see if I can give a lot of examples.
Jasmine has been doing a lot of exercises as well as learning about "super foods" and more. This would be health/PE.
Exercising with the Slim in 6 dvd's that I purchased as well as still dancing with the Wii, but also with the Playstation game as well. She's even tried some exercises that she's read in magazines.
The Slim in 6 dvd's came with a booklet all about exercise, eating and health---we've read it cover to cover twice. We've tried different recipes etc.
On nice days she's been taking walks. This last week she walked to the public library (just over a mile from our house)...read half a book while there (language arts) and then walked back home.
Jasmine has taken it upon herself to watch some of the science shows through netflix---such as the How It Works and How Stuff Works series. She then tells us, and others what she learned from each show.
She is still attending Bible study each Tuesday and youth group each Wednesday.
Recently youth group attended the Winter Jam concert. This prompted her for days to look up bands and lyrics, and do some sharing of both on facebook. (music)
I pulled out the Thresholds to Adult Living textbook and we've been reading it out loud with discussion. I love those books! I picked this one up as well as a few others at the public library book sale. They are all from the 1960's but still very much (if not more) pertain to how a person should live today. All of these texts cover every aspect of life from friends, dating, marriage, fitness, cooking, health, jobs, budgeting, decorating, and so much more. (I love the photos within the books)
Jasmine, on her own, had been making herself a budget/goal book. She has made specific goals of things she is saving for and how much (what percentage of) she will save for each goal out of any money that she earns. Other math would include grocery shopping with me. We have been working also in an Everyday Math Survival Skills workbook.
Of course she is still drawing all of the time. I am going to end this post today with a picture she has recently drawn. I've also used this picture as the intro photo on one of my squidoo lenses.

Welcome to another week of squidoo blog hopping. I'm still in hopes that over time many will join in. I love squidoo. I enjoy seeing what lenses others build as well as getting to know other lensmasters.
This past week I actually worked on 5 different lenses.
Meet Our Pets was at the bottom of the list and has needed to be updated for a long time. I finally got that updating done. I couldn't bear to take out the old photos as we miss those cats that are no longer with us. I've left those in for memory sake.
I got started on Our Homeschooling Journey 2010/2011 Part 5. This will be the last of this years series. I've included a poll on advice on what to do for next year. I hope you will let me know what you think.
Yesterday was my grandson's 2nd birthday. In honor of his day I built This Day In History June 1. I'm getting more of these done and really enjoy making them.
Then, I messed with Our Unschooling Journey Part 3. I was thinking that I had updated part 4....oops! I will have to work on 4. There isn't much updating one can do to lenses of this type.
Last but not least by any means...I updated my Earn Money Online lens. I deleted some and added some! I hope you will check it out.

And...ta da!! I actually built a new lens last night. Our Homeschool Journey 2010/2011 Part 4 It should have been started a few weeks ago, but it's started now. I will add more to it as the week's go by. I must get busy and get some photos of Jasmine doing different things too.
I went through my blog and put my reviews on my reviews/giveaways page here. This will give me easy access to make those reviews in to lenses. Lenses are so fun to build, I just have to make myself take the time to do it!

I used to do so well, typing into my blog daily..now it's only 2 or 3 times a week...
I've just become so busy these days!
Yesterday was a FULL day. We went to church...after church I got m Walgreens lists and coupons ready to go and then went shopping. Once home we ate some ham and beans....then we headed to my mom's for her birthday cake and ice cream. Right after that we were off to church for youth group meeting. Whew! Run, run, run, and run some more.
This morning started early running my son a few places. Right now I need to be upstairs getting Jasmine up. I really want to get going on her schoolwork for the day and get that done.
I just updated my Our Unschooling Journey 4 squidoo lens. I think I would like to continue these lenses, but we aren't really unschooling so I am thinking on a name change. It's nice for me to keep a running journal of the work that is being done.
I got in my Mail Call! Week of September 20 and my Walgreen's Shopping 9/27/09 posts on gather. I've still been putting in 3 photos a day from the Kansas State Fair. I hope to get in a photo essay today along with 3 more photos, my usual daily post for my group, and a video.
We are to have a yard sale this next Saturday. According to the forecast, as of right now they aren't calling for any rain that day but the high is 64. I will keep watching it. In the meantime I have a box of clothes yet to price...a bag of misc. to price, and 2 small boxes of books to get priced. I do hope the weather holds up and that I can make a few dollars.

In other news...I survived the week. I'm feeling really tired but I made it. My son is still staying with us. We are working on getting the swimming pool emptied and taken down for the season. We got in trouble with the city for emptying it onto the street. They say it's human contamination and against the law. It had to be emptied into a sewer, and that didn't mean the grates in the street either.
I got my middle daughter to the dentist for her partial impression, now we wait for them to call and say they are done.
Tomorrow is the first day of Sunday school at church so I am keeping all the grandkids overnight tonight. I actually look forward to it....just hope I can get to sleep at a decent time.

Good Morning! I can't believe it's been over a week since I blogged, but it's been so busy.
Steve was on vacation last week. Even though we really didn't go anywhere, we still stayed plenty busy..
On labor day I started and almost completed a quilt. All I had left was the tieing, which I am working on now.
Steve and my son, Johnathon put in a sidewalk beside the garage during the week. I haven't gotten to posting the photos or videos on gather yet.
The Kansas State fair started Friday, the 11th. We spent ALL day Friday there, and a lot of the day Saturday. My legs ache!! I am going back today with my granddaughters to walk around with Araya's Headstart class. Then, my daughter, Jasmine, will spend her $13 riding rides since it's $1 day.

Good Morning!
It's the first day of public school here. I guess my daughter got my grandson off to school without a hitch. Ariel doesn't start kindergarten until Wednesday...and Araya doesn't start headstart until next Monday.
Jasmine isn't up and around that I know of. She needs to be as Steve's sister is off work today and she already doesn't approve of the homeschooling. Plus, I look forward to the time each day that I sit and do schoolwork with Jasmine.
I've spent the morning unloading my car slowly and getting books and movies unpacked, washed up and put on the shelves.
I updated Our Unschooling Journey 4 yesterday.
I also did several posts on gather yesterday... Walgreens Shopping 8/23 and Mail call! Week of August 16 I also put in another video from our trip to the Dillon's Nature Center. I earned 132 pts on gather between yesterday morning and this morning! I would so have it made if I could earn that much daily.
I have to take my son to court this afternoon. His ex girlfriend put a restraining order against him. Oh boy! Like he would ever bother her, or has he since he moved out. She made it at work too so she ended up getting her hours cut way back since they couldn't work at the same time. My son's been there for years, she should have known that her hours would get cut and not hers. I pray she just chooses to cancel it today when they go to court.
Tomorrow will be busy, so I doubt I will get a blog written. The morning starts out with Jasmine having a dentist appt. It's our first night of bowling league so I will need to have supper all figured out. My mom will have her usual Tuesday afternoon dr. appt.

Good Morning from rainy and stormy Kansas.
It's been a really good weekend. Saturday was good all the way around. Sunday was great too...we went to church, once home we just pretty much hung out around the house doing whatever we felt like. I like Sunday's like that. In the evening we had my son, his girlfriend and her kids over to swim and bbq. Right after that we headed to Sears for friends and family night. We had to stand in line 2 hours to get checked out but our fridge and deep freeze are ordered and will be delivered on Wednesday :) After that, even though it was late I went to my mom's and packed up the rest of out books.
This morning I updated Our Unschooling Journey 4....a couple days late but it's done. I also finished My First Quilt this morning and updated that lens as well. I'm excited that it's done and I can move on to making the next one.
I have LOTS of stuff to get shared on gather. I did cash out for another $25 paypal at gather yesterday.
Today is my son's payday but I shouldn't have to take him around this time. It's also my middle daughters boyfriend payday too. I'm sure I will have to take them a few places later this afternoon.
I'm planning on making ham and scalloped potatoes for supper...and speaking of that I need to get the ham out of the freezer. Off I go to see what else I can accomplish this day.

Good Morning!
Sunday was a good family day. I went to church. Afterwards we got the nephews on their way home and I took my grandson back to my mom's. After all that we went shopping at Wal Mart and then went bowling. After bowling we went out to eat at Fazoli's It was a really great day.
Yesterday (Monday) was just an exhausting day. It was my mom's social security dy which always means about 4 hours of running her to places. However, it was also my son and his girlfriends payday and my middle daughter's boyfriends payday as well. I also always run them on their paydays too. It was a very full...very long...very hot day. To top off the payday running my middle daughter had a dentist appt and my mom a foot dr. appt. as well!
I was so tired last night that I fell into bed and went to sleep immediately! I even slept through all of the midnight alarms. I can't believe it, but I hope I got the rest I needed.
I've been busy with housework and computer this morning and feeling pretty productive.
No internet things to share today. I didn't post but 1 thing in 2 days on gather. I did do a quick update on Our Unschooling Journey 3 squidoo lens. This next Saturday it's time to start part 4. Later today Jasmine and I will be going through all the school books and such getting ready for this school year.
Back to work for me.

Good Morning :)
An early morning phone call woke me up and for some reason I decided to just stay up. I've vaccuumed all the carpets, worked on the computer, started laundry and sewn on my quilt and it's not even 9:30 am. I even walked and bought a Sunday paper.
I got my Mail Call! Week of July 19 in on gather this morning. I didn't get it in last night. We watched A Haunting in Connecticut (I pinned quilt squares while we watched), then we went to Wal-Mart and shopped until after 10 pm.
I updated Our Unschooling Journey 3 squidoo lens yesterday. Not a lot going on school wise in the summer but I can still think of things that she does that are on the educational side.
One more dish scrubbie and I am done with the one lady's order. I've still not rec'd her money order so I need to email her. Then I will start on my friends order. She says she is anxious for me to get them done for her.
The weather is cooler again. We had more rain yesterday. Looking at the 5 day forecast the highs are only in the 80's all week. Very strange for July. I can tell you who won't be in the pool this week....me!
No other real news for today so I will end wishing you a very blessed Sunday :)

Good Afternoon!
I've already been on the run this morning. I took the laptop and wrote up my 2 book reviews though while I waited. I also got my Walgreens shopping done for the week.
Yesterday we went to Office Max. I got some good deals on school supplies and we took advantage of getting the reusable bag and then getting an additional 15% off our purchases using it. Steve got a new wireless router for here at the house and a flash drive with good discounts.
I did my update at Our Unschooling Journey 3 squidoo lens yesterday. I didn't get to it on Saturday. I also got my Mail Call! Week of July 12 post on gather yesterday. Usually a Saturday post, but Saturday turned in to a day that I had very little time online.
I still have more running around to do this afternoon but right now I am going to get some packages ready for the mail.

Good Morning. It seems anymore I only get my blog written every other day. I really need to get my routine back in order.....I just don't know how to go about doing so.
They were supposed to start on my mom's bathroom today with orders for us to be out of the house from 9-3 today and tomorrow. The plan was to spend that time at my boyfriend and his sister's house. The company called last night and now won't be able to start the job until next Monday.
My daughter, Elizabeth, wants to get all the excess out of the kitchen today and put a shelf in there instead. That way we can reorganize the food. The pantry is over flowing. I didn't think I was going to have to go anywhere today but then my son told me him and his girlfriend needs rides around since this is their payday. I think, instead of taking the laptop I will take my coupons to cut out while I am out and about with them. My coupons are in such a disarray its not even funny. The other day I even woke up to find that the kittens had knocked my abc file box off of my desk. Some got mixed up.
I did manage to get in an update on Our Unschooling Journey 3 squidoo lens over the weekend.
I've barely been getting anything done in gather....which means I am barely getting any points either. Two days in a row I didn't open my email at all...and now I have over 11,000 in there. See what I mean about needing to get it back together??
My daughter, Elizabeth, added more photos to her gather. She needs some help with views. If you have time, check out her photos for me. Liz's Photos Thanks! So far I am the only one who has even viewed the ones she just put in.
I guess I better run and get my coupons gathered and such before I have to leave.

Good Morning. It should be another good day weather wise. They are calling for some rain tomorrow and Monday for the holiday.
Tomorrow we are going to Great Bend with my boyfriend and his family for a family reunion. I may or may not find time before we leave to post here.
I did some updating in squidoo yesterday to these lenses: Superdove, Gather--The BEST in Social Networking, and Crash. Today I will build the 3rd lens in our Unschooling Journey series.
I'm heading next to update the relistings of my books on homeschoolbuy.com then it's off to play my spins on Winster for the day. I've already played my limit of the mahjong on iwon this morning before I even started doing anything else on the computer.
I have this big fuzzy cat laying on lap. He thinks he's a tough guy and goes outside trying to chase away the stray neighborhood cats, but he is getting all torn up. I am trying to keep him inside!
I'm going to end now as Saturday at home and on the computer is a short day now. I have lots I need to get done before we head to Steve's for the evening.

Happy Cinco De Mayo Day to all. When Jasmine was in Headstart she took part in the festivities with a great dress and dancing downtown.
The weather today is still not good...too chilly for me. Anything under 76 and I am cold! It's looking better the next 2 days but then temps drop again. Why can't it just stay in the 80's?
No plans outside the house again today. I didn't get the books listed on homeschoolbuy again, but will today! I got my Walgreens shopping post up on gather. Walgreens Shopping 5/3/09.
I got Our Unschooling Journey 2 squidoo lens updated a couple of days late. I also updated my Under The Rainbow Gifts lens as well. Today I need to get Sample Gal and Cello In A Box updated.
I didn't make giant squid and I'm pretty heartsick over that...and I don't understand why my stuff isn't good enough, but I guess I will keep updating and apply again at the end of June and see what happens.
For some reason I can cut and paste most everywhere fine, however I can't cut and paste from gather posts and put it in a post or anywhere else. I can't restart this computer. The last time it was off I got scared to death...it wouldn't boot up telling me that there was a missing or corrupt windows file. I tried and tried again and it did come back on, but I would be lost if I shut it down and it did NOT come back on!!
On that note, I better move on to other things. The cloudy, chilly weather is already making me want to just crawl back in to bed.

Good Morning! It's been one rainy weekend here and it doesn't look like it's ready to let up yet.
Jasmine and I had a good time spending Saturday evening with Steve. We started out having bbq chicken, mac and cheese, green beans and rolls for supper. Then, we watched 2 movies.
Church was nice yesterday morning, I even got my oldest daughter and the grandkids there. One of our new members is building us a church website. Because the church is not the building, but the people, he brought his equipment and took a photo of all who were at the service yesterday. That will be the main photo on our website.
After church I put supper in the crockpot, but oops...forgot to turn the crockpot on! We did get to eat but just later in the evening than usual. Oh well, it all worked out in the end.
Today is my moderate cleaning day upstairs and I've decided to work a bit on here, clean up there and back and forth until it's done upstairs. I also want to get up to Walgreens today for my weekly shopping there. Also in hopes while up north there I can stop into the large grocery with the greenhouse and get some plants and things to get my garden going.

Good Morning!
Our church services were cancelled this morning due to the amount of snow we got. Unfortunately, we weren't going anyway due to the van being down. I sold 2 plarn shopping bags yesterday in blujay! All online sales profits are being saved to get the van running again. I about have all the plastic bags cut and made into plarn to crochet my next plarn bag.
I'm pretty much going to take it easy today. It is supposed to be my free day after all. I've done my dishes "share", made my bed and the other little few things that are done daily around the house.
Today's high is supposed to be 53, which should melt some of the snow, however with the amount we got there isn't any way to melt it all in one day. I think tomorrow high is a little better, but Tuesday's forecast is calling for a drop again, but rain instead of snow. Oh pleasant spring LOL
Don't forget, the Under the Rainbow Spring Fling starts tomorrow. Tomorrow is also the day that I present as well. It's always a good time.

I did lots of posting on gather too! I do believe I can make my goal of cashing out for $75 on the 1st. I did 6 posts and 2 videos yesterday.

Good Morning! I actually crawled out of bed this morning so that I could get some of my internet things done before church. Do you believe it?? All of last week since the time change I would have still been in bed for another hour or so!
Today's plans include church. Past that, I would like to get a good start on putting together my cleaning and organizing file system. After yesterday I just need to do a few simple household chores. I plan on putting chicken in the crockpot for supper. Other than than, just all of the things I do on the computer every day.
I upgraded my account with financialfreedomads.com yesterday. Once I get through all the extra clicks I get for being upgraded I will be able to cash out there today. It's a nice little site. You can check it out with the banner at the bottom if you would like. All clicks are worth 1 cent.

Well, Well, Well...I stayed up until just after 1 am last night working through my email. I got it down to 600 in my inbox (currently back up to 829)
I didn't get out of bed until 9:30 this morning, and that was because my ex husband called from prison. I asked him how he got money for phone calls. He told me he crocheted a blanket, then latch hooked a Kansas City Chiefs helmut and the word Chiefs on it and sold it for big bucks. First he used some of the money to buy more yarn then the phone card. It's a crying shame that he sells more crafts in prison than I sell from home!! He sells things all the time. He really enjoys crocheting very large stuffed Winnie the Pooh animals.
I posted another Budget meal on gather last night. Today I will be doing my weekly mail call post and probably another budget meal. Budget Supper 3/13/09

Today I will be starting a new lens...part 2 of our Unschooling Journey.
Since my tv went out I am watching my shows upstairs. I don't watch all that many shows, but it will be good for awhile. Watching 2 shows yesterday I got all the rest of my coupons cut and in to my box as well as got an almost 6 lb ham cut into cubes and divided into bags for the freezer. My aunt is getting a new tv and giving us the old one, so that will solve our problem until my son is able to take a look at mine. I'm thinking it's something simple inside such as a blown fuse. God works things out for us in mysterious ways.
I'm going to head out...almost noon and I still need to get my bath for the day! Have an awesome Saturday! I hope you are seeing some spring time weather. Today's high here is supposed to be 50 and it's 41 right now.

Good Morning, almost afternoon. I am jumping back and forth between cleaning and computer work.
I've been reading The Sidetracked Home Executive. It's been on my shelf so who knows how long...sheesh! I will be doing a review of it once I am done, but it sure is a book that all should read if they really want their houses to not only be clean, but organized as well.
I am having trouble with the cleaning part as there just isn't a place for everything in this house. There is just way too much stuff here!!
I don't think I can even come close by Wednesday on how I want it to look here in the basement before my aunt and uncle arrive. Not to mention that the upstairs is probably a lot more important and not a thing is getting done up there!
The girls go to school soon and then my mother will have the whole afternoon to work on things upstairs...will she?

Good Morning!
It's a blustery day today but according to the forecast it's going to get a little warmer each day over the next 4 days. That's always a good thing for me.
My friend brought me a lot of plastic bags yesterday. Enough to finish making the shopping bag I am working no then enough to make a little gift bag that I want to try next.
I want to get my books pictured today so that I can start getting them listed on blujay. I have a lot of coupons that I also want to get cut out today. I would like to get the coupons back into my alphabetical book. It's so much easier to see them there as well as easier to take out the ones that have expired.
