All Business Monday--My Week in Review

This past week has been so crazy.  I feel like I've been away from the house more than I've been here.  This week is full and will be the same way.

I have still been getting in posts on bubblews, most days still managing to write 3 posts.

Past my monthly night out at the quilt shop for sit n' sew, I barely got any crafts worked on.  At sit n' sew I worked on my fractured pineapple quilt, but it has many months to go before it's done as my sit n' sew project.  Last night I got some work done on crocheting the pink cotton washcloths/dishcloths.

I put a new book up for sale in my half.com book store.

The picture in my post represents that I finally got busy and got all of the Box Tops For Education that were laying around on my desk and in the kitchen cut, and some listed up over on listia.
Listia is not a money earner, although you can win gift cards in the auctions.  It's a great way to get rid of things you don't need or want, and earn points to get things that you can use.
I like to list items that will only cost me one stamp to mail.  I've sold several sets of bookmarks that I've made, but my main thing to list is the Box Tops for Education.  I generally earn well over 1000 points for them, but for some reason my first listing for the week (linked above) ends in 2 days and still has no bids.   I put up a second listing yesterday for more of them.
Over the years I have gotten so many things from listia--small toys and things to fill church bag for 4 grandchildren, fabric, thread, yard, CD's, DVD's, and coupons.

I look forward to what I can accomplish this week even though I will be so busy!

All Business Monday -- A Productive Week

I have a pretty chaotic life, busy busy away from home a lot.  That does make it harder to have what I would consider to be an online business.

Last week I got to be home ALL day on Thursday.  On occasion I do get a full day at home, but never has it been as productive as last Thursday.

I even wrote a bubblews post about it the following day if you are interested:

I listed a new book in my half.com store and even sold a book from my store.

That day I listed my very first locker hook rug in my etsy shop.

I also started crocheting pink cotton washcloths/dishcloths.  I also have a set of those up in my etsy shop as well.

I even got busy and finally got all of my Box Tops for Education cut.  I put one set up on listia, and have 2 more ready to be listed.  Let the points roll in so I can start buying with my points again!

Hoping to stay at least this productive every week!

The Christmas items weren't exactly free--I won them on listia for very little points but did have to pay $2 to help with shipping.  However, I'm very pleased with everything that was stuffed in that little box you see in the back of the photo.

Shop Hop Saturday--Still Flying (or Climbing)

I'm later than usual getting this post done this week.  There were things that I wanted to complete before making the post.

If you recall, these are my 5 mountain climbing goals that Ruthi over at abitosunshine challenged us to make:
1.  Build a new squidoo lens each week as well as update at least 2 others.
2.  Post at least 3 things a week to redgage.
3.  Post 2 things a week into my etsy store and continue to move other things to my zibbet store.
4.  Keep up with the reviews and regular postings to my blog.
5.  Sew at least a little bit each day. (this goes with accomplishing goal 3)

I did build a new squidoo lens--a music review.  I think I only updated one lens though.  Squidoo has been having it's ups and downs on whether we could get in this past week.

Again I didn't get my 3 things posted to redgage until the last minute--today.  I should change that goal to 1 a day!  Once I am in there I have a pattern--I'm a pattern type person big time.  I upload, then share, then I choose something to check out from the recommended on the side.   Then, I go and right click to open friend requests.  I click open the person before I approve the request so that I don't lose them.  I then subscribe to the person and click all content to choose at least one thing to go comment on.  Once I comment I either click a name of someone familiar to me that has already commented, or again, find something on the related list on the side.
I have loads of catching up on at redgage to return comments.  I do hope to get it in gear there too.

 I did get 2 new listings up in my etsy store.  Watch out!  I have 5 things planned to be completed and listed by next weekend.  It will be my last chance to get new items in before the Christmas Celebration starts with the online craft mall.  I also need to get a bunch of things that have expired on etsy over to my zibbet store before then.  Whew!! Busy week ahead for me business wise, especially with Thanksgiving thrown in there.

I have been keeping up with my regular posts here on my blog.  However, I am still way behind in getting reviews posted.

 

I have been sewing each day....or if not sewing working on tieing or hand sewing on a quilt.

 

In addition I just listed 2 items over at listia.  Both are sets of bookmarks.  I am trying to earn more points in hopes of winning some thread to keep up my sewing.  I keep getting out bid when there is some up for auction.

Lots Going on in My Business World--Shop Hop Saturday 9/24

I'm still working on getting myself prepared for my presentation spots at the Spoooky Celebration with the Online Craft Mall. I have my spots set. You will find me presenting on Monday Oct. 3 from 8-8:45 pm CST and on Friday October 7 from 3-3:45 pm CST. Spots are still available but must be purchased by Monday, September 26 to get in on the action. This is truly a fun time. I just ended a giveaway here on my blog to give away a free spot. I only had 2 entrants. I think the online parties are something that not many know about, but I do know that hundreds, or even thousands of my connections online sell their wares online.

Shop Hop Saturday 8/27/11

I am a lot later today getting my shop hop post done but I was out having a blast all morning and in to the afternoon.  I actually got to go all over to yard sales today!!  Yeah, I'm excited.  I will be doing a post at a later time with photos of my buys.  I got LOTS of material and things for my quilts and crafts.  You know what that means??  It means now I must find the time to get to work on things, get them made, and get them listed in my stores.

Birthday Bags Completed for My Three Granddaughters

II completed the birthday bags for my 3 granddaughters yesterday.  I think they came out cute.

They are pictured below, along with the items going in to each one.  Very frugal gifts.  I got most of the items you see in the photo with my points on listia.  Some of them are won through mycoolcontests.  Some were bought at yard sales.  In total I only spent $2.10 out of pocket for it all.

Steve's been on vacation this past week, but I still got a lot accomplished.  As you see, I'm keeping up with my blog nicely.  I've added a new regular post, which is My Frugal Week, and will be posted each Monday.
