My review:

I am totally in love with the Soft Scrub Total All Purpose Cleanser
I have bad elbows, wrists and shoulders, so it's very hard for me to put any "elbow grease" into cleaning.   With the Soft Scrub Total All Purpose Cleanser I did not have to scrub at all.   I squirted a bit on the stove:

I got my rag and just started wiping.  Amazing how easily the grease and grime came off of my stove.  I've had stuff stuck on the black parts that I wasn't able to even get off with a metal scrubber.  It all came right off with the Soft Scrub.

Yes!  I will be buying more!

Here is the stove after:

Now on to the giveaway!
Three (3) lucky blog readers will win a free coupon for ANY Soft Scrub product up to $3.39 and have their chance to try this amazing product.  Just enter using the rafflecopter form below.

Morning Star Farms Burgers--Review #GotItFree

When the Morning Star Veggie Burger campaign came up with bzzagent.com, I looked forward to taking part. Although we are not vegetarians here, I have always wanted to know what the burgers tasted like.

My kit contained a coupon for a free box for the purpose of me trying them and spreading the word. I chose Spicy Black Bean burgers.

As I said, we are not vegetarians, in fact, my husband is a real "meat and potatoes" man. When I showed him the box of veggie burgers, he actually rolled his eyes at me.
I procrastinated on actually trying them due to him giving me that look every time I brought them up.

Finally one night I didn't say anything, I just proceeded to cook them. The Morningstar Farms burgers are really easy and quick to fix---just a few minutes on each side and they are done.
I started cooking them and soon hubby was in the kitchen to see what I was cooking that smelled so good! I told him the veggie burgers and he didn't argue, just said how good they smelled.

Here are a couple of photos I took--one of hubby fixing his spicy black bean burger up and the other of my daughter getting ready to eat hers.

There were 3 of us eating and 4 burgers in the box. I let hubby and my daughter "fight" over who got the second one. My daughter won. I'm really glad that I chose the Spicy Black Bean variety. There were actually whole black beans and whole kernels of corn in each one. With 11 grams of protein per serving, they are a great source!

Will we try any of the other flavors? I think my daughter and I will, but we won't push it on hubby :)

Squidoo Hopping--March In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb

Here it is the first Thursday in March.  So far here in Kansas, March has come in like a lion with winds that are still keeping the temps down.  Since Easter is March 31, I do hope it goes out like a lamb as the saying goes.  :)

I thought it would be fun for this week's theme to be March.  Link up 1 or 2 of your lenses that have anything to do with March, whether it's a day, a holiday, and event, about Spring, etc.

WIP Wednesday 3/6/13

It's been a few weeks since I've posted anything---so long that I don't remember what I last posted!  Ok, I went and looked and it's been a full month since I've actually done a WIP Wednesday post!  I have been taking photos throughout the weeks though with good intentions of doing a post, so let's play catch up this week for the past month!

This is my challenge quilt progress for guild so far.  I am ready for the top stitching.

February's sewing club meeting at church.  I have no finally finished all of the half square triangles for the quilt top.  We meet again next week so hopefully I can get a lot of the blocks put together for my new photo.

Last post I linked to my before photos, but this is my craft room now.  Yes, I do still have 2 totes and 2 boxes to go through....the shelf in the last photo I didn't do anything with, as well as the shelves on the wall.  However, it's so much more pleasant to go into my room now and actually work.

Lastly, I've been working like crazy when I can crocheting cotton bath puffs.  15 of them are for an order, then I will start posting them in my etsy shop.  I took this photo a couple of days ago, so I have completed a few more since then.  Crocheting these is mostly my late night work.

Hopefully I can find the time to get a lot done this week.  It's been crazy with 2 winter storms and moving my middle daughter and her family from one town to our house, and then 5 days later to another town!

Frugal Friday with Marsha--Linky Party

Welcome to Friday!
How is the weather in your part of the world? We had another snow storm hit this week. It dumped another 7 inches on top of the 15 inches from the week before. I am thankful that the temps have been above freezing so the streets were only bad for a short time this time around.

I don't have a shopping photo to share with you. This week we were really short in the grocery money dept. I am thankful for my coupon stockpiling. We spent less than $25 and bought 2 gallons of milk, potato chips, 2 packages of Oscar Meyer lunch meat, a bag of oranges, a bag of shredded lettuce, and 6 bananas. Surprisingly we got .70 off each package of lunchmeat because I just happened to have loaded ecoupons onto my shopper's card for them.

This was moving week----we moved my middle daughter and her family from Great Bend to Hutchinson. They are staying at our house until they can find some place to rent. Just yesterday they are finding that a daunting task. It's really hard to find landlords that allow pets, as well a rent that is affordable with his income.

I have been keeping up pretty well with my goal of decluttering and reorganizing the house. A little at a time, but it's been looking a lot better around here. I'm going to try to continue my efforts, even with 4 more people and their stuff in the house :)

Let's here what's been up with you this week, and the frugal type posts you have shared :)

Squidoo Hopping--Snow Snow Snow

First, let me apologize for missing last week's post.
Here is Kansas we were hit by 2 heavy winter storms this past week. By the end of last Thursday we had 15 inches of snow. Bam! On Monday it came back with another 8 inches.

Let's try a theme again this week in our sharing of lenses. Once last hurrah (I hope!) to winter. Link up 1 or 2 of your lenses that have anything to do with winter.

If you have blog posts from this past week that deal anything with squidoo, please also link those as well.

Frugal Friday With Marsha--Linky Party

It's been a full week again since I've blogged!  Life is so full for me and I sure have some catching up to do.

We've had snow, a LOT of it, these past couple of days.  More snow than we've seen at one time in Kansas in a decade.  It's sort of nice, past the fact that I have to go out to work today.

I cheated one night this week for supper....and it wasn't frugal.  I ordered pizza from Papa Johns.  Sure, it was a special for $9.99 for a large.  I ordered 2 though and we did eat them for 2 nights.

I only went to the grocery store once this past week!
I spent $7.83.  I saved $14 with coupons and had a total savings of 74%.
There were printable coupons for $1 off any pork.  I used those to get the pork riblets that were marked for quick sale.  One package  for .87  and the other was $1.37.  Yes, we had those for supper that night.

We were able to get 2 loaves of bread and 2 packages of hamburger buns from the warehouse free. (If you don't know, my husband is a route driver for Sara Lee).  We then did have to buy a gallon of milk to finish out the week as well.  It was on sale for $2.99.

What have you posted this past week?  I really do enjoy reading posts that are linked up.  The learning and the motivation are great!

Frugal Friday with Marsha--Linky Party

I hope this week has found you saving money, being frugal, accomplishing whatever your goals are!

Here are my shopping trips since last Friday:

Only 55% saved on this trip, but fish for a month and a few more cans of chili in our stockpile.  Spent $13.87, saved $6.40 with coupons and I rec'd a $5 catalina towards my next trip for buying the fish!

Using the $5 catalina and an addition $2.50 in coupons, I saved 94% on these 5 items, spending just .80!

The total for this order was $8.98, but I spent nothing out of pocket because I used part of a $10 gift card that was sent to me by bzzagent.com and Kroger to try the Kroger Yogurts.
I used $12.05 in coupons for a savings of 65%

We were stocked up enough that this was the only shopping for the entire week.

Other news this weeks is me cleaning out and reorganizing my craft room.  I am just in amazement (more like appalled) at how many items I have allowed to get into my craft room that don't belong in there.  I won't post the before photos here, but if you would like to see them, you can click over to my gather post: (will open in a new window) Craft Room Before Pictures
I've been wanting my fabric and such organized into cubbies since seeing a photo of a room on pinterest using them.  I've bought myself a couple of small cubby organizers, but hubby bought me a 12 hole unit with part of our state income tax refund.  Not exactly frugal, but will be good for my peace of mind and simple living once my supplies are organized.  If you check out the pictures in my post above, you will know why I haven't had much motivation to get into my craft room and get any real work done.

Your turn to share!

Squidoo Hopping---New Lens and Heads Up

(sigh)  I hadn't built a new lens since Dec 2!  I finally stop procrastinating on a music review and spent 3 or 4 hours working on this lens.......only to get it put into heads up status for duplicate content.

That is the hardest part for me with these reviews, as the company sends me info that they want in with the review.....mostly along the lines of about the author etc.
I went through the info sent to me and rearranged sentences, changed words, eliminated some words, even eliminated some whole sentences.   The filter still caught it as duplicate content.

I now have gone in and only left 1 or 2 sentences (still in my changed form) from each paragraph and then linked to the biography on his official website.  I do hope it's enough to get it out of heads up, but 3 days later they haven't changed it yet.

How do you handle when you are in this situation?  It's frustrating for me.  I am linking the lens first in this week's linky.
