WIP Wednesday
Good Wednesday to all! Time for my work in progress report.
Click the button at the end of my blog and join us in the fun of WIP Wednesday's.
This is my 2nd week to participate and I'm really enjoying it. I feel it will help keep me motivated to always have projects in the works.
If you aren't a crafter, do a WIP on the book you are writing, landscaping you are doing, home remodeling, etc.
Now, on to my WIP's
Here are 2 photos of my progress on the strip quilts. The first photo is just getting the material ready to be cut. The 2nd photo is after I have the material cut. I have 2 pillow forms I've never used, so I also cut large squares so that I can do the strip quilt pattern on the pillows too.
The 3rd photo is what became my distraction to not get further on the quilt. I got an order through the Online Craft Mall for 2 of my Barbie bedding sets. I didn't intend for them to be a work in progress, as I had hoped to have had them done and in the mail. It's taking longer for me to make them than I remember. However, I will always take an order for a distraction anytime!
Until next Wednesday, take care and keep on working! Click the button below to add your own WIP post to the list. Also to check out the others on the list.

CSN Stores Giveaway!
I was in looking at dutch ovens, and from there I ended up looking at dining sets. Let's just say I got lost looking around as I moved on to kitchen carts and then bedding sets. I stopped after looking through the futons, as that is something we really need right now.
Based in Boston, CSN Stores LLC began in 2002 and has grown rapidly into a Top 3 online U.S. retailer of home and office goods with 400+ employees.
With over 200 stores to choose from, there is something for everyone, and something to fit all your needs.
I've been given the opportunity to host a giveaway for csnstores.com.
Prize: $40 certficate to spend at csnstores.com
Who is eligible to win?: Residents of the US and Canada.
Contest ends: September 2, 2010--9PM CST-- I will use random.org to choose the winner.
How to enter:
**** Mandatory entry: Visit csnstores and come back and comment on what you would by with the certificate if you win, or what you would use it towards buying. (Beware: this can take a long time as once you start browsing, and dreaming, you don't want to stop!)
Other ways to earn entries:
Follow my blog with google friend connect, in networked blogs, OR by email.
Post this giveaway someplace else. You can do this through facebook, twitter, your own blog, a post on another website, wherever, you are able to post it. Mail Call! Week of August 15, 2010
I'm still not getting bunches of stuff in the mail like I used to, but it's been a pretty good week. Just seems there aren't the amount of free samples and such to send off for like there used to be.
I rec'd:
Magazines from hausernet: People(2 of these this week), Sports Illustrated, Time and Entertainment. I also got one other piece of hausernet mail.
Fall Idea book for educators from A&E, History channel and Bio Channel
Celebrate Urban Birds packet--not sure why I got another one of these.
Jerky Direct auto shipment (paid for with my downline)
Fabric and lace won on listia
Poison 20 Years of Rock CD, along with a bonus cd by O.A.R. that he sent along--also won on listia.
Schick Intuition razor that I won from sweeps4bloggers.
Family Fun magazine
In my church mailbox: $40 check for cleaning in July (delayed because the secretary was on vacation.)
In my email: $25 paypal from sidetick.com

WIP (Work in Progress) Wednesday
I joined stumble upon, and while stumbling, I ran across the blog Every Day Crochet.
She has a neat idea. WIP Wednesday's! WIP stands for work in progress.
She has it set up to where it doesn't have to be a craft WIP....it can be the novel you are writing, your landscaping project, garden project......basically anything you are in the process of.
I will be posting weekly my WIP for my crafting. It will keep me motivated to always have a work in progress :)
So, here are my WIP for this week:
An online friend sent me some gift cards out of the kindness of her heart. She asked me the price to buy some washclothes from me. I'm not selling them to her, instead they will be a gift from me. One complete, another started and one more to go as I plan to send her 3.
Simple baby quilt. I have the fabrics cut and the batting pinned to one. It will be simple because I'm not doing squares. Instead I am using the Sesame Street material as one piece on each side. I will pin it, sew the edges and hand tie it.
What are your WIP's? Can I finish these before next Wednesday and get more work started?
Please click the button below and head over to Every Day Crochet and check out the list. (as I type this she doesn't have the new post up, but I will be on the look out for it and in the meantime add my link to last week.)

Mail Call! Week of August 8
Not a bad week, but most certainly not the best either.
I'm getting magazines now from hausernet, so if that keeps up I can earn the minimum per quarter to get paid. However, according to their site, not to expect a check for the previous quarter for 10-12 weeks after the quarter ends because it's all hand done to verify what you earned. I know one gal is waiting on checks and saying they are way behind.
In the meantime this past week I got one regular piece of hausernet mail and People, Entertainment, Time and Sports Illustrated magazines.
I also rec'd:
Good Housekeeping magazine--subscription redeemed for from recyclebank.com
Coupon train
Postcard from Maryland
Celebrate Urban Birds education kit
Covergirl Queen collection natural hues mineral bronzer
Not free, but I got in a sock order from Jc Penney's. I used the $10 off coupon code and after shipping, I still paid less than half of the retail price for 6 prs of socks.
In my email I got $2.96 paypal from neobux. (*** I have a banner at the bottom if my blog if you are interested.)
That's it for this week...not much on the money side for sure :( What will next week bring? I've won things on listia that should be coming as well as hoping to get my sidetick pay and at least one from gather too.
