I've been too heavy into completing a craft project this week. Sadly, I've done about my usual viewing and commenting on lenses of others but no updates on my own, and no new lenses built either.
At one point I was going to apply for Giant 50 but then wasn't sure if I had 50 lenses that are good enough, despite the updating I have gotten done. I also want to update my lensography before applying for that next step up.
I did work on building my placeholder lens for my This Day in History lenses. I'm not sharing the link yet because I am not happy with so few completed. My goal before sharing the link is to have a minimum of 3 days completed in each month.
So, that is my mission---get these lenses built!! Shoot, I still have 3 birthdays (at least) for the family, to get built.
I will get it done!!
*********Questions-------Does the Random Facts module no longer work? It's not showing up for me. Has anyone ever heard anything about the donations module and if it will ever come back?? I so want to finish up my Charity lens, but can't without the module.**********
What blog posts or lenses are you going to share this week?
I want to start off this post with a module question. I asked in one of the facebook groups last night.
Is there a limit of only so many of one module within a lens? I was trying to update my Charity Donations lens again to add 10 more charities, but the donations module was no where in sight! If there is a limit then I will have to do these in parts, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a limit.
I didn't get a new lens built this week. You know the saying about the best of intentions. It's just so busy right now with Christmas!
I did update my Trunk or Treat lens ---which should have been updated right after Halloween, actually should have come home Halloween night and put the photos in! I only chose 10 of all the ones we took to add.
I added 2 more books to the Learning About Greece lens. It will be awhile before I add more. We have 2 books left to read that we had picked out, but we returned them to the library until after the holidays. I like Ruth's suggestion of making the What We Have Learned into a link list as well. That could be an update until we get back to reading...we will see.
I also updated my Blankets for Christmas lens. Next up will be Crafts as Gifts that I had hoped to get to this week. I'm really going to need to open up a new Crafts as Gifts, because that one is getting too full, plus I've made a vow to make all gifts homemade next year.
I'm going to close for this week by wishing you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Good Thursday morning! Welcome to this week's squidoo hop.
I did get 2 lenses built. One complete, the other I need help with.
I completed This Day in History October 9. October 9 marks my youngest daughter's birth date. I have several more birthday's to take care of before I go on to other dates.
I started Homeschool--Books Used For 2011/2012. I do have some things in but have a ways to go before it's where it should be. It will be a lens that is continually added to throughout the school year as we read more books and use more books as part of our homeschool year.
I can't figure out what it is they want on the facebook fan page module. Can someone help me figure out how to get my widget in there? I do plan on adding it to a lot of my lenses.....at least those related to things that I share in my blog.
Maybe you've even done a post about using the facebook fan page module that you can put in the linky! I hope to see several share links this week.
http://www.squidoo.com/thisdayinhistoryfebruary1Welcome to this week's squidoo blog hop. I hope you will join in!
Yikes! I realized I hadn't updated my Gather--The BEST in Social Networking lens since the end of December. I've went in and added all my redemptions, a prize and review that I've rec'd since.
I got busy and built 2 more of the This Day In History lenses. This Day in History February 1 and This Day in History April 18.
Now here is my question for this week--once I get, say 12, of the This Day In History lenses, I want to start a placeholder lens. This lens will have the links to all of the history lenses categorized by month. My question is, what is the best module to use for this? I want the lenses to remain in date order for easy access if someone is looking for a certain date. I intend to use 1 module for each month, I just need to be sure that since I am making the lenses out of date order that I can add them to the place holder lens and they will be in order. Any suggestions?
I updated My Book Reviews lens to add Home-Ec 101. I'm hoping in the next week to get at least one book review lens done. I also want to start music review lenses as well.
On my trek to update our homeschool and unschool journey lenses, I updated Our Homeschool Journey 2010/2011 Part 2.
I really need to find a better way of keeping track of my lenses and when I update them etc. Right now they are written on each page in a notebook. When I update a lens, add it to the squidoo kingdom, add the link to redgage, etc, I make a note on the page. It's just getting harder to keep track as I add more pages. Any suggestions in this area?
This past week, I also deleted a lens. I have a few more that I also want to delete---the ones dealing with online businesses that I really don't do, but built the lenses in hopes of picking up some sign ups or sales. Needless to say it's not worked, and the only one of this type of lens I intend to keep is my Jerky Direct one.
Ok...enough blabbering from me for this week. I look forward to seeing the submissions on the linky this week!
