WIP Wednesday -- Vacation Was Nice

aahhhhh  home from vacation and it was so nice.  The camper we rented was old (had a built in 8 track player), but it sure was nice.  I couldn't believe the storage it had!
I took pictures from every angle, but here is the kitchen area and the hallway.  The hallway started with a large pantry door then had 3 closet sections with 3 drawers under each.
That's just a start on the amount of storage this camper had.

Yes, I found myself thinking of living there.  You know, one closet just for my sewing machines and drawers for fabrics etc.  Yes, I would have to cut way back on my stash though!! LOL

I got in some sewing time while relaxing on our camping vacation.

I started by finishing the selvage toothbrush rug except sewing down the last stitch.   I'm ready to start on another one now except that I have other rugs that I also want to make.

I also make quite a few more yo-yo's.  I plan to save out time each day of the quilt retreat this weekend to putting them together.

I wanted to take a picture of my projects that I am taking to the quilt retreat then didn't.  Everything so far is packed in the trunk of my car and ready to go.  I so look forward to the retreat!!
What I put in is the Charming Stars quilt to finish, the yo-yo's to sew together, and the Arkansas Crossroads quilt to work on.
I may add something else, but I'm really thinking those 3 projects will keep me busy enough---it's just my problem of getting tired of working on just ONE.  IF I get my blue scraps sorted out then MAYBE I will stick to my original plan of also working on my string blocks.

I look forward to posting next week to show you what I do get done at the retreat.

WIP Wednesday-- No More Bags.....at least for awhile

You may have noticed that I've not done a WIP Wednesday post now for the last 2 or 3 weeks.  It's because I was working on nothing except the drawstring backpacks!!

I ended up making a total of 38.  Two of those went to charity.  26 of them went for Christmas gifts.  I kept one for myself.  And, I have 9 that will be listed in my etsy shop.

This picture shows 33 of them:

I have started on my next long term project, and I do mean long term.
I have a special order to make 2 valances and a table runner with Christmas and other fabrics.  Yes, I have until next Christmas to get these done, and it will take me that long too!

I do have one more project that must be worked on, which is the challenge project for quilt guild.  I will need to go back and forth working on that until it's done.  It's due in April.

WIP Wednesday --Blue and Brown

Disgruntled as usual that I'm not getting in near the sewing/crafting time that I would like to have.  Such is life as I do have so many things online to do plus I do actually have a life away from the computer--yes, believe it or not!  LOL

I had a request this week for a yo-yo table runner made in blue and browns.  I've been trying to work on getting those yo-yo's made.  It is nice that I can work on them while clicking here on the computer.  I also took them with me when I took my daughter to the doctor.

Unfortunately, this is all I've worked on this week.  Well, that is after I finished the Queen Elsa crocheted doll for my previous review post.  I still need to get Princess Anna done before June.

Also unfortunately, I doubt I get any more orange done for the soscrappy blog challenge this month.

I'm not adding the blue and brown table runner to my UFO list since it's a request, but as you can see, my UFO list is not getting any shorter.

WIP Wednesday --52 Inches

I received a message asking if I could make a rug 52 inches across.  I replied that I could.
Hhmmmm....what was I thinking??  Apparently I wasn't because I didn't wrap my mind around just how big a 52 inch across rug is!

I've worked on nothing else and here it is at just 24 of those 52 inches.

I am going to have to send a message to the gal and back out.  She offered me a price for it, which I thought I could do.  I'm seeing now that it may cost me pretty close to that for shipping alone.
I'm still going to work on this rug more until I get worked in the strips I have in front of me, then it will be listed in my etsy shop.

It's a new month, so I need to head over to the soscrappy blog and see what this month's color is.  Although I'm not linking up there, I am still adding her button to the bottom of this post.

I just got in 2 crochet kits for review, so it looks like crocheting is what I will be doing next before sewing....except for my sewing at sit n' sew this Friday.

Rectangle quilt

Hexagon quilt
Emerald Island Fusique table runner

All Business Monday -- Getting On the Right Track

Image: License: CC0 Public Domain / FAQ Free for commercial use / No attribution required

I feel like I am on the right track with my business.  If I can keep it up, things will be awesome.

I did manage to post daily here to my blog after missing a couple of days last week.  Eventually I would like to get to where I am doing 2 posts per day.

I listed 2 more books in my half.com store.  I also sold a book this past week.

I finished making all of the pink cotton crocheted washcloths that I could with the yarn I had.  I listed 2 sets of them up in my Zibbet store.

I listed this set of 4 patchwork hot pads in my Etsy shop.  I also got an order for a set of the coasters this past week.

I've been getting in more items for review again, which is always good.  A lot of what I get in are books, so reading has been upped in my life.
I'm also still keeping up with my paperwork like I should be!

How has your past week of earning been?

WIP Wednesday 4/16/14

Good Morning!

I think I have been pretty productive with my crafts this week.....but not so much anywhere else.

I took one evening and got out my cut up t-shirts and fabric strips etc.
I have them divided up to make rugs.
I know that in bags somewhere I have strips that I have yet to cut for rugs.....somewhere.....hhmmm.

Here is what I am working on now.  It's a rug with wider strips of t-shirts:

I finished up the set of 6 hexagon flowers.
They are now listed for sale as a set in my Etsy Shop.
I also worked on my items in the Online Craft Mall.   I updated items....took out a couple of things that I don't make anymore, and added a few things.  I added the hexagon flowers in sets of 6.  I will continue to work on the hexagon flowers here and there.  It will be years before I get them done  LOL
Last Friday evening was sit n' sew at the quilt shop.
I took my Goodnight Irene blocks to work on.   I didn't get near as far as I thought I could!
I wanted to show a picture, just to 'prove' that I really am working on it.
You can click the button on the right for more information on the project.
I am behind.  I should be getting row 4 put on to the quilt this month.  I'm still building the blocks for rows 3 and 4.

Now let's get to the UFO's and NewFO's.   You can click the button to the right to also find out about this challenge.
I've not even put up a finished post yet to link up with the challenge.
The rugs I am making are not on this list as I only list sewing projects.
Plus, I have added some things to the list since I made the list at the first of the year.
Plus, there are still a few projects in my craft room that didn't make the list!
Maybe some day I will actually get it together.
