WIP Wednesday 11/4/15

Well, it's been a long time since I've done a work in progress post.  Ever since my sewing cram session to finish 2 of the quilts that I put in the quilt show, I've just not done much sewing at all.
I hope to change that and be able to share each week again progress that I am making on projects.

This past weekend I attended a quilt retreat hosted by Cottonwood Quilts.
I loved it!  It's so nice to get away, socialize with other quilters, and just have hours and hours of sewing time.
I finished a fall wall hanging, which won't be pictured here, but will be added to my etsy once I get my shop back in order there.

I finally got to use the hand dyed fabrics by Vicki Welsh that I won in blog giveaway from So Scrappy, along with several of the hexagon flowers that I have made with the So Scrappy color challenge.

I pulled out a bag of black and white fabric that was given to me by a friend.  It's been hanging in my craft room for ages.  I had planned a string quilt, then I thought of doing a jelly roll style top, but in the end I decided to do a rail fence with some red thrown in here and there for a color pop.

And, I worked some on my hexagon quilt project.  You know, that never ending, or 10 year project.  I have over 200 hexagons done in my container, plus what you see here in my box.  I'm anxious to see just how large of a quilt these will make, but not anxious enough to work on it daily.

WIP Wednesday 3/25/15

I think it's been another good week for sewing.
I did finish the pink hexagon table topper and it's now listed in my etsy shop.
I have some work to do in my shop as many of my items have now expired.  Decisions on which ones will be re-listed and which will be moved to either zibbet or shophandmade.

I worked on my fractured pineapple quilt enough to get one border made and sewn on so that I could see what it's going to look like.

One last thing for the color yellow for the soscrappy challenge.  I got out my yellow 2 1/4 inch squares and ended up with 78 blocks.  I do still need to square them all up to 4 inches.

Lastly, I got back to work on my blue hexagon table topper that I had started last month......or was that January?  Anyway, I am a bit further than my picture as I have the back on now and have started hand sewing around the hexagons.

I got a small, and I do mean small, start on cleaning up my sewing/craft room.  I found myself in awe over how blessed I am that so many have thought of me to give me fabrics and such.  So blessed to have it available to me to work with.  So blessed that the Lord has given me the talents to use them.

WIP Wednesday 2/25/15

Oh my.  I believe the only thing I have worked on this past week is the pink hexagon table topper!

I posted this picture in bubblews yesterday and shared it a few places.  I asked opinions on adding another round and then which of those 3 fabrics I should use for that round and for the backing.
The darker pink gingham was the choice by everyone.
I actually have a start on it, but chose to just go ahead and share this picture.

Even though pink will end for the soscrappy blog color challenge, I will continue to work on this until it's finished!  This is a promise to myself.

Hopefully next week I have more projects to share in progress!   In the meantime, here is my list of unfinished objects.

WIP Wednesday 11/26/14

I almost didn't realize that today is Wednesday.  It's a holiday week so hubby is off working on his usual day off since he has the holiday off.
It's been another busy week as usual.   I didn't get in much sewing.

I worked on the light blue hexagons at a stitch group and then again at our guild meeting.

I had a special order come in for a mustache pillowcase and bag that I finished and got mailed out.  The order also included 12 dis scrubbies so I was busy crocheting those as well.

Otherwise I am sewing around large pieces of polyester to make tablecloths.  Those don't warrant taking a picture.  My mom's friend gave me the fabric and a lady in quilt guild told me she makes tablecloths with it, so there you go.  I got an idea and I'm running with it.  There are several colors so I will have them for several occasions.

Still working from this UFO list and adding in more for Christmas gifts that aren't on the list.
