WIP Wednesday

Welcome to WIP (work in progress) Wednesday in conjunction with Every Day Crochet.
Please click the button at the bottom of the post to play along, or to see what others have WIP.

Your works in progress do not have to be crafts.  They can be things like landscaping, home imporovements, the book you are writing, etc.

I did finish the rug with the t-shirts.  It's still not right, but I know the secret now, so will start another one soon.  Here is the photo of where I stopped.

I've started another toothbrush rug with sheets.  This one is going fantastic so far.  The lady at church told me the secret of when to know when to add the extra stitch.  So far so good.

The prayer shawl is coming along.  I am ready to start the last color on it.

How is this for a work in progress?  I'm getting my treat bags ready for the trunk or treat at our church.  Last year we had 500 or so children come through.  I have to buy more candy as so far I've only filled 160 bags.

Today I am getting out quilting supplies and going to work on starting to get material cut and such and get some quilts going again.  My middle daughter is pregnant, and I picked up some cute green material with animals on it, and the batting at a yard sale this past weekend.  I went to Wal Mart and bought some other material and the thread.  No big hurry as I intend the quilt to be part of her Christmas, but I'm still anxious to get it going....along with the other 2 quilts that I have materials for.  One will be another strip quilt, made with material I picked up in a bag at that same yard sale.  The other will be matching squares with a matching back.

That's it for this week I think.  Can't wait to go check out what others are doing!

  4. Still loving the toothbrush thing, and I keep saying I'm going to try making t-shirt yarn and haven't done that yet either.

Thanks for hooking up with WIP Wednesday!
