At least I did get some things done this past week so I do have photos to show this week.
Let's start with the fabric bags. I completed one for an order and have these 2 ready to sew:
Now let's move on to the string quilt I was making for church. I did work to get it finishes since one of the ladies was going to show us a new quilt technique at club yesterday. I wanted to share the pic of it completed.

So....our new lesson was a jelly roll quilt. She brought instructions copied for each of us. The instructions are titled the Easiest Ever Jelly Roll Throw. I had no clue what a jelly roll was....and still really didn't until I was home and looked it up online. She told me to not do the diagonal stitching when adding each strip as per the instructions. I see online what it looks like when you do. Also we did not use 40 inch strips either. We have a huge box of scrap material to use up in our club, so our strips are all different sizes. I think it looks neat, and yes, another project for me. I think, however, that I have all my scraps here at the house cut to 2 inches. I can still do this though and just make the original strip lots of inches longer right? If not, I will cut up my other material. You know me, I'm on to another project now that I've learned something new. I will also be starting another top for sewing club as well.
Here is a pic of me working on sewing down from the first strip:
Once home from club I couldn't help but keep sewing until the top was done. Once you get past sewing a line of 1600 inches of strips and folding in half to go down the first time, it sews up really quickly. Some of the other lady's will now work later to put in the center, put on the back, hem and tie it. It's laying on our king size bed and the sun is shining on it from one window. I think it looks cool.
Until next week, please click the buttons below of the blogs that I participate in each week.

I've stayed pretty busy this week on crafts, so I'm happy with that.
I finished up the order for dish scrubbies and washcloths and finished the Minnie baby hat on another order.
I was able to finish the strip quilt and got it listed in my etsy store. I had spaced off paying my fees this month...oops! They are paid now. It had been awhile since I had even been in my store and had to get 8 items relisted that had expired too. Also, since the last time I listed something they changed the way you list. It's much easier now. You can find my new strip quilt here.
I also got a few more things made up in my zazzle store. A postcard, some stickers and 2 more postage stamps. You can see my store here. I also got another sale in zazzle this past week too!
I'm currently back to working on crocheting the double thick hot pads. I'm on a mission to see how many I can get made before next Saturday when we are having the fundraising sale at church. Half of what I make I am donating to the sale, the other half will be listed in my etsy shop. I still have loads of the varigated yarn to make in to the hotpads. This will keep my busy, but I also hope to get started on another quilt, some baby bibs, more fabric bags and some quilted hot pads as well.
I think that is all my news for this week. Thanks so much to Ruthi for hosting this Shop Hop. Please click the button and hop along or check out and support other.
Welcome to WIP Wednesday. I'm hopping along with 3 different blogs. Please click each button and check each one out!
I didn't get the strip quilt quite pinned yet. It's frustrating because I put a stretchy material for the center. I had thought it was just the right size, but I ended up having to stretch it to make it fit. Wrong answer as any of you who do quilting know. It's pulling in the sides. One friend told me to sew across the edge squares to make it stay straight. I did try that, but with just a small $80 machine, that task is very difficult.
I did work some on the toothbrush rug for the basement floor. I didn't get in an many strips as I wanted to this past week, but did quite a bit. Once I get the excess backing material cut from the quilt to make more strips for the rug, I will get out my last batch of strips for the rug. I have no idea how large it will end up being at that point, but I have a feeling whatever the size, it's just going to have to do! I already can't work it on my lap anymore. I will have to put my laptop on the floor so I can still click on here while working on the rug.
I did work some on the double thick crocheted hot pads, but not enough to make it worth a photo. I also, today, started working on the baby hat and booties for my daughter. Her baby shower is next Wednesday. Hopefully I will get them done in time and next week have a photo of the finished products.

Busy busy, that is me!
This past week I did complete 2 more fabric bags, which are now listed in my etsy store.
I also re-activated 2 expired listings.
I've been working on the strip quilt this past week. I'm still in the process of getting it pinned and tied, but I do have the binding cut and made for the edging so it won't be long before I can list is as well.
As far as my "shop" goes, that's all I've done. I've been very busy with my bog in general though, which hopefully will in time become my basis of business! I have been getting some reviews done, some including giveaways.
Oh...I started a fan page on facebook for my blog. I hope you will come and "like" me there. Marsha's Spot
Thanks for taking a look today. I hope you will click the button below and hop along with us with abitosunshine.
Good Wednesday to all! The weather has gotten chilly here again this week. The are saying sun for Easter and I sure hope so!
I'm still busy with numerous crafts all at one time.
I'm on a project of using up all of my varigated yarn and crocheting it in to the double thick hot pads. Half that I make I am donating to the craft table at the church fundraising sale at church in June. The other half will be out in our garage sales, but any that are sets of 2 will also be listed in my etsy store.
In the craft room I am still sewing together the strip quilt squares for sewing club at church. I am also still working on sewing together the fabric bags. They will be listed in my etsy store as I get them completed. I only get in to sew maybe 15 minutes a day it seems, but that's better than no time at all.
I'm also still working on the toothbrush rug that I am making for the basement floor. I'm anxious to know how large it will be with just the strips I saved out to make it with. I'm sure not near as big as I need it to be. Again, I only work on it a little each day.
I'm including the Every Day Crochet button as she is the host of this blog hop. However, she's not been posting WIP posts on her blog the past couple of weeks or so as she works on another challenge. Please feel free to hop on over to her blog anyway!
Good afternoon!
I sure can't say that I did all that much this past week as far as my crafts. I did finish my friends hot pad and washcloth order, but didn't take a photo.
The pictures are of my table full of strips as I am working on the strip quilt squares for church. At the same time I am also working on fabric bags, which are also on the table.
The other photo is of the rug I am working on for our basement floor. It's not coming along very fast at all, but I hope to work on it each evening.
Hopefully next week you can really see the difference in how much on all of this is done!

I still have quite a list of what I wanted to get done in crafts before the monster garage sale March 19. I'm afraid that packing and moving is going to have to put a halt to that!! Basically, the house can close any day now, which is great and I would love to see it closed and us able to start moving some things over there even if we don't start staying there right away.
I'm still sitting here crocheting dish scrubbies. I have a lot of white netting. I think past today and what I can make around my other activities is what is going to end up being in the jar for the sale.
Here is what I have so far:
I ripped out lines on the strip quilt I am working on and this photo was of me in the process of re-sewing. It looks a lot better. I am in hopes today yet to get the middle of the quilt sewn on. I've not decided exactly on the back as I only have 2 sheets to choose from and both are flowery. I'm also thinking of making the binding. In other words, once the middle is sewn on, it's being boxed up and won't be worked on again until we are settled in the new house.
I have the back and edging pinned on the table runner. It's just a matter now of sewing around it. That won't take long, but I'm kind of anal, and working on the strip quilt until I run out of the thread that is already on and in my machine.
Other WIP's include 2 books I am reading for review......and the mess of organizing and packing for the move.
Welcome to WIP Wednesday, where we share our works in progress. Please click the button at the bottom of my post to join in the fun with Everyday Crochet.
Yay! I got both the top done on the table runner and on the strip quilt. A couple of my lines are off on the quilt and I'm not sure what to do about that. Still deciding if I'm going to rip out and try to make them right.
I also started on another toothbrush rug. This one is being made out of t-shirts. I'm trying something different. Instead of doing rounds, I am mixing the colors up.
In other news, the house buying is still a WIP in progress too. He found that he didn't qualify for the VA loan and now is going for an FHA loan. Say prayers that he qualifies so we can get the house and have a house of our own please.
I want to start a blog hop of my own here on my blog. It will be posted on Thursdays and is going to be a Squidoo Hop. So, if you are a lensmaster, be on the lookout so you can link in your own posts about squidoo.

This past week I've been working and working on sewing strips on to squares for my next quilt and the table runner I want to try to make. I'm making up over 60 squares so it does take some time. And, I sew in between everything else I do. I've not really worked on anything else craft wise though.
Here are my new etsy listings for this week:
Washcloths and Dish Scrubbies Set in Green
Washcloths and Dish Scrubbies Set in Red
Flowery Fabric Bag
Blue Print Fabric Bag
I have some more things ready to add to my store this next week. I also hope to have the table runner completed and listed as well.
Good afternoon! I am late posting my WIP as we've been out looking at houses all morning.
I also do not have any photos this week :( I feel like I'm just in a real mess with my crafts. I'm working on too many things all at once!
I've been making crocheted cotton washclothes with yarn I had on hand. Looks like a couple more and my little yarn stash will be gone. I will be putting them in my etsy store and some will be sets with dish scrubbies.
I did get all the material cut for my next strip quilt. That took me awhile! I have all the squares cut that I need to sew the strips onto for the quilt. I've also cut some squares that I'm going to do the strip style and make a table runner. The table runner will be in Christmas fabric because that is what I have. I'm hoping it will look great and table runners can be added to the collection of things I make to sell.
I didn't get to any of the dish scrubbie making.......I did buy a few yards of netting, so those will be worked on this week along with the quilt and such.
I'm still in the process of making fabric bags as well. I have completed 4 of them, 2 that are listed in my etsy store and the other 2 will be as soon as I get the photos taken and such. I have material to put together 5 or 6 more of the bags as well as I have an order for 2 that I am in the middle of working on.
In the midst of making all I can to sell, I must start getting all of our stuff looked through and organized....in hopes, of course, that we will find a house, get it and soon be moving!!

Good Morning! Welcome to WIP Wednesday in conjunction with Every Day Crochet. Please click the button at the bottom of my post to join in the fun, or to see what others have been working on.
I spent a couple of days just working on dish scrubbies, so my jar is getting fuller:
I finished sewing together the top of the quilt I've been working on. My next step is to find the time to set up the tables upstairs and get it laid out and pinned. Finding that time is hard for me since that does take awhile. It won't be today like it could have been because I'm heading to the dentist soon to have these 4 teeth pulled.
Sewing club ended up being cancelled yesterday due to the weather, so I cut out the squares and got them cut down ready to be sewn. This won't happen until club meets again as one of the gals wants to show me a different way to put them together.
I'm anxious to start on my own next strip quilt. I was sick in bed over the weekend, but I had my daughter bring in my ironing board and material and I started ironing what I have to make the quilt. I still have about as much to get done, as what I got ironed and cut that you see below. I'm pretty well planning on staying in bed after the dentist so plan on trying to iron the rest of the material this afternoon. I don't want to start the actual squares until all of the material is cut. I like to try to alternate evenly putting on the strips by all the material that I have.
I'm still reading If God Is Good. I plan on the book review for it on Saturday. I will need to be reading all I can in it between now and then.
Until next week....hop on over and check out what others are up to. We would love to have you join us each week as well with your own WIP's.

I did finish the toothbrush rug I was working on and it's now listed in my etsy store. You can check it out here if you would like.
I started another, but only have the initial braid done, so I didn't take a photo of that.
I got out the strips and squares for the strip quilt I am working on for sewing club at church. I had finished sewing on the strips on 4 squares at our last meeting. (haven't trimmed them down yet). I sat in front of this computer and pinned on the first 2 strips on each of the other 24 squares that will go into the quilt top.
I also got some of the squares cut to use on the next strip quilt I am going to make myself. I needed to cut the squares to see how much of the black sheet I would have to use to finish up that toothbrush rug. Well, for the size I am making, I am 23-10 inch squares short. I will have to find another sheet to cut later. I barely had enough of the black left over to finish the last round on the rug, but I made it!
I have a whole list of things that I want to get made before March 19 when I am taking part in a monster garage sale at the state fairgrounds. Want to see what all is on my list? You can find it here in one of my blog's on sidetick. It's extensive, but if I keep on keeping on, I can complete everything in time. Stopping in Early Today
Whew! Today's WIP has been finding time to be on the computer! after 1:30 pm and I am finally finding time.
WIP Wednesday, where in conjunction with Every Day Crochet we share our works in progress. I hope you will click the button at the end of my post to join in on the fun and list your own post....or check out what others are up to.
Remember, your WIP don't have to be crafts, they can be virtually anything.
I tried to get busy this last week on things. I didn't get done all I wanted, but I did do a lot!
I am on my quest to fill this jar with dish scrubbies to be ready for the monster garage sale in March. Selling some along the way, as I have been doing is a major plus!
I worked on the hot pads that I am making for Christmas gifts. I found that I don't have enough of the insulbrite material for the insides to finish what I need....and I will have to also take the covers off the other cushions on the old futon as I didn't have enough from one set for my backings.
I got busy and thought I would get that strip quilt top completed before sewing club at church next week. What I found is that I shorted myself 2 of the 12 inch squares....and even if I hadn't I didn't bring home enough of the longer strips to make them anyway. So, the first thing I will work on next week is making the other 2 squares and completing the top.
Other things that I did was to complete the order that included the 5 fabric bags. I then took photos of the bags and went ahead and put them into my etsy store. My etsy store is and will always be a work in progress as I hope to continue to build it up. I got my first order!! It's for one of the fabric bags. I got the material cut and ironed for the bag. Heading in next to get it sewn. I like to get my orders out ASAP.
The holiday is quickly approaching. I did get our tree put up, and decorated. I got out some of my stash of gifts to start wrapping....that's as far as that got time wise. I am being pulled away from home most all day each day (yes, causing me extreme anxiety too! )
Here is a photo of our little tree. I bought most all the decorations from our Christmas sale at church. We bought the tree for $19.99 on sale at Walgreens. Please excuse all the junk around it. We have a very small living room and I had to squeeze the tree in a corner in front of the movie shelf.
