Ribbon by Scribbleprints on Zazzle--Giveaway Included

Scribbleprints on Zazzle
is owned by Gale and she really has a lot to offer with her designs.

A little about Gale and Scribbleprints:

She's been doing art since she was a little girl.  She even considered becoming an art teacher at one point, but took another path.  Her scribble designs, or "Scribbleprints" started as doodles during boring classes in high school and college.  She would scribble in the margins of her notes and then fill the scribbles in with descending lines.  She even had a few classmates ask her to draw one for them, but she didn't really do much more with them until years after college, when she started making shapes and patterns with them.

The scribble designs at Scribbleprints start as pen and ink drawings, which are scanned, cleaned up, and colored online

The rest of her art is just for fun.  Ideas for her humorous designs just pop into her head.  Most of those are inspired by her three children.   She also dabbles in a little water color, such as the design on the water color flowers.

Gale was kind enough to send me some of her Red Satin Ribbon.
We plan to use some of it to make a ribbon hair barrette.

She also sent me some of the Water Color Flowers satin ribbon.

As you can see, it worked perfectly for the handles on the bag that I sewed for my daughter. She loves the ribbon, and her bag too.

The ribbon is of a very high quality. It's available in 1.5 and 3 inch widths and 3 lengths.
She offers several other ribbons in her shop as well. In fact, Scribbleprints offers loads of choices in both products and designs.

Gale has been gracious to offer some of the Red and the Water Color Flower ribbon to one luck Marsha's Spot reader. Simply enter using the rafflecopter form below.

Disclaimer: I received both ribbons from Scribbleprints to try. I wasn't compensated in any other way, but all opinions are my own. Scribbleprints is supplying the giveaway prize.

All Business Monday--Zazzle

Cyber Week

There are several print on demand websites. I have only designed a few things on zazzle. I need to get busy and get more items designed. Hopefully I will get that done this week!

About anything you can imagine can be designed with your own photos and image creations on zazzle! My favorites to design are postage stamps and address labels. My first order of business in my shop is to make matching address labels for the postage stamps that I have in my store already.

You will notice by my banner that zazzle is having a sale up to 60% off for Cyber Week. Best time to buy!

Here are a couple of the postage stamps that I have in my line up:

Here are a couple of cute Christmas cat items:

Squidoo Hopping 1/30/14

I'm pretty ashamed......
I was linking up with Nonersays this week and decided I should go in and change the how many day until Halloween on my Visit a Kansas Pumpkin Patch lens.  OMG!   It was still set for 2012, so I never even changed it last year.  Sheesh!

Also while there I seen that one of the zazzle items was only showing the coding.  It was within the google maps module.   I first thought that the t-shirt wasn't being sold anymore. I went to zazzle and searched and found a cute postcard invitation that I thought I would put in there instead.
Nope....only the code showed up again.  I am guessing that we can no longer put anything else in with the google maps module...at least not html.

I liked the post card so well that I did change out what was in the guestbook for it.  I'm adding this lens to the linky along with another one from about the middle of my lensrank.

I really do want (more like need) to get busy on working on lenses!!

Squidoo Hopping--Linking Zazzle

Good Thursday to all!  Today I want to talk about linking zazzle into our lenses.
If you were following my blog posts a few months ago, you would have seen where I asked how others were highlighting one of their zazzle products at a time.  Zazzle doesn't allow you to right click and save images.
I wanted to make a lens highlighting the postage I had created.  The answers that I got was to print screen, then edit that down to just the stamp.  That is what I did, then linked the photo to my product.

Thanks to Virginia's updating challenge, I learned that there is a link button under the product picture.  When you click that you set up the code and put that into the html box in the text module or guestbook module etc.  Is this new??  I'm thinking it has to be pretty new, or other webmasters would have told me to do this when I was asking way back when.

I have completely re-done my zazzle postage lens (which I will link up in the linky) as well as I am having a blast searching zazzle for products related to each lens and adding that to the guestbook.

I would have had no idea at all that doing so automatically puts in our associate code, so if someone sees that design and loves it----and clicks over from the image that we receive a referral fee---even if it's not our own product.

Quoting from Virginia's lens "Zazzle products - Don't put them in the Zazzle module, as that doesn't pay directly to the lensmaster. If you are a Zazzle affiliate, you can paste in their link and html into text modules. This is how I illustrate quite a few of my lenses. It benefits the Zazzle artist when something sells, and I get a referral fee (on Zazzle)."   If you haven't already, please check out Virginia's lens Easy Updates for Squidoo Lenses.   I now have a whole list of things I can do to update lenses!  Thanks so much to Virginia for putting this lens together.

In other news from me----The 3 lenses that I did the update challenge with are all up in tier 3!  I've not done any more updating to them, but will.  I still have several things from her suggestions that can be done.
I've been updating lenses here and there.  As I update each one, I am getting that page into my alphabetized notebook.
I started building a new lens last night.  It got to be 1:30 in the morning and I still had several things to put in.  I did go ahead and publish it even though I know I shouldn't have unfinished.  I do hope to finish it today, although this is a busy day away from home for me (including my daughter being interviewed for the newspaper with the youth that went to England.)    Hey! speaking of England and zazzle, I have been working some on making some of her photos from England into products.  I have several more photos to get put into zazzle and then to make them into several different products.  But, using one of the codes here in my lens, I'm sharing one of the products I made:

I could spend all day in nothing but squidoo with all the building and updating that I want to do! I do hope to see many of you link up this week :) Thanks so much for following along.

Spoooooky Celebration!!

For this week's Shop Hop I would like to highlight the upcoming Spooooky Celebration with the Online Craft Mall.
I've updated my Online Craft Mall squidoo lens to include this information as well.

Ralyn, the owner of the online craft mall is working hard to bring back our online parties. The Spoooky Celebration is a great one to start with. She spends a lot of time putting together haunted houses to go through as part of the games and things. (Games get you entries to win prizes)

If you sell online, we hope you will consider joining us for the celebration. Spots are just $5 each for 45 minutes of presentation time. If you know others who sell online, please help us spread the word. I hope to see all of you joining us for the fun, games, prizes, and sales too! Please click the banner for full information. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

In other news, I've listed 2 more items in my etsy store:
I also got 2 more items moved over to my zibbet store:

I also updated my Zazzle Custom Postage Stamps squidoo page again.  I didn't add anything new but put in about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I added just 2 more books to my half.com.  Is there a way to promote just the books you have for sale there?  I was looking but I'm not seeing anything like the about me page over on ebay.
That's all for me this week.  I want to thanks Ruthi of abitosunshine for offering this shop hop blog hop for us.  It keeps me inspired to continue to work to add things to my shops.  Please click the button below and join us and/or support others who are working from home.

Squidoo Hopping 9/8/11--Linky

Here we are to Thursday again. I did do a little updating of lenses this past week. Even including one of the ones I had thought of deleting. More on that one later.

I found out the concensus of the etsy module is that I will have to delete the modules and re-add them for them to be current on what I have for sale there. Since I am moving items over to zibbet I am going to add a black box module there with the link to my zibbet store. This all will hopefully by done over the weekend.

I updated my Gather--The BEST in Social Networking adding in my most recent payments rec'd. Oops, do need to add the last $30 though.

I updated my Zazzle Custom Postage Stamps lens. It hit me one evening to do the print screen in paint and then edit it down to just the stamp in order to get the picture. Each one is linkable to the stamp for sale, which is the way I wanted it. The sale I put in ended yesterday though so this is a lens that I can keep updating both as sales change and as I get more postage stamps created.

Then, I updated my Online Craft Mall lens. If you are a crafter, or sell anything online for that matter, please check out the Spooooky Celebration coming up the beginning of October. She is getting us back in to having the online parties. I had my own debates on whether I was going to sign up, but I do plan on signing up now. I will blog more about that later too.

Until next week--Happy Squidooing!

Shop Hop Saturday 9/3/11

Saturday is hopping today.  We are having a garage sale.  We haven't sold all that much but at least it's cooler today.
I did sell 3 of my double thick crocheted hotpads and 2 of the cotton washcloths.

I kind of like the yard sales since I bring my laptop out and just keep on working online at the same time.....and not feel guilty about not being in the house doing some type of housework,  he he.

I put 2 new listings in my etsy store:

I moved 2 more expired etsy listings over to my zibbet store:

The lady with the fabric bag order has added a couple more bags to her order, so I am still working on the order.

I didn't get anything new added to my zazzle store, but it hit me how to get the pictures to put them the way I wanted on my squidoo lens.  I got the lens updated this morning and added a charity too.   I hope you will click over and check it out.  Zazzle Custom Postage Stamps

I also added a couple more books to my half.com account for sale.  I did find a special place to keep these book separate from the rest.  I took my shoes off of one of the shelves in our closet and I'm storing them in there.  (you have to do these things when you have a 2 yr old living in the house who is obssessed with tearing and cutting things up!)

That's it for my report this week.  I am hopping along with Ruthi and her abitosunshine blog hop.  Click on over and join us!

Shop Hop Saturday 8/20/11

Good Morning---it is still morning as I type this.
I woke up extra early to have a garage sale but found that it was raining.  I wanted to go back to bed but instead I decided I should get to work on my online business stuff.

I went and added more items to my zibbet store.  It's slowly growing.  As a free member I can have up to 50 items listed.  I'm still debating on the paid membership, but that will come after I close in on the 50 items listed and see if I get sales as well.    While I was there I found some cool banners to help promote (like the one below).   I put the banner in reallysmartdeals and in easyhits4u.

Speaking of reallysmartdeals---all of my sites in rotation had ended so I spent a lot of time putting in products.  I put all of my zibbet, all of my etsy, all of mu zazzle and some of my blujay store items.  With my $1.99 a month membership I can have up to 125 items in rotation.  I got up to 91 put in today.   Reallysmartdeals offers something cool---a rotator link.  This link will randomly put up one of the items I have listed.  You can check it out here: http://reallysmartdeals.com/rotator/59846
Now, where can I rotate this?  Most traffic exchanges don't allow the rotators since it does rotate urls and any of them could be a virus.  I have it rotating at easyhits4u.  I don't really do any other traffic exchanges anymore other than reallysmartdeals.  Any ideas?

I have work to do in blujay.  They are requiring that you now put in isbn numbers for books you have for sale.  For the books that I didn't put that in the description I will have to drag out the milk crates of books from the middle closet to get those.

I'm trying to decide what to do about homeschoolbuy.  Seems for whatever reason, there are over 1000 members but for the longest time I've been the only one listing anything.  I'm thinking of moving the books over to blujay.  That way they don't expire so I don't have to remember to go in and update them before they expire.  Good idea, just will take a lot of time.

That's my report for this week.   Click the button below and hop along with abitosunshine!

Shop Hop Saturday 7/16/11

It's Saturday again already.  Days just string together anymore and I always stay busy.
This past week I didn't complete any new crafts to list in my etsy store.  I worked on some, but nothing completed.
Tuesday was our sewing club at church where I learned a new quilting technique.  I haven't had my sewing machine back out since that day.

I have been working on orders that have come in.  It's such a great feeling to get orders!  I'm waiting for materials to come in to complete one order of fabric bags, but half of her order has already been shipped.  I had an order for dish scrubbies that I completed and mailed out.  And, the order I am currently working on is for 12 washcloths.

We are having another garage sale today--once again with no other advertising except signs hung up around town.  Last time all I sold was 2 dish scrubbies, so while I was already making them for an order, I made some more to put in my big jar on my craft table.  I did try to call in for an ad in the newspaper but I called 30 minutes past the deadline.  With highs in the triple digits, it is too hot to sit outside, and most definately if we don't have lots of customers and actually make some money.

Ok, back to business.  I did manage to get a few new items created in my zazzle store.   I will share those today.   I still have trouble with trying to design there.  I did a couple of t-shirts but I can't get my pics to be as large on the t-shirts as I want.  I was trying to make a bag as well, same problem.  If I make it to fit the product then I get the warning about the photo will be pixeled.  I printed out the help on what size photos should be.  Hopefully I can keep my goal and get a few new items in my store each week.

Shop Hop Saturday 6/18/11

Good Saturday!

I've been busy this week with grandkids staying over and Bible school in the evenings in addition to the usual things I do each week.  I still did manage to get some things done as far as my business goes!

I have 2 new listings in etsy:

I didn't get any more items created in Zazzle, but I did build a squidoo lens to highlight my custom postage stamps.  Zazzle Custom Postage Stamps
I will be updating this soon to take out the special that ends tomorrow as well as figuring out a different way to highlight my designs to include my own affiliate link.

I also updated my Jerky Direct Business Opportunity squidoo lens to include photos of the new products as well as highlight the pet treats.

On that note, I would like to mention that I do have a bag of the Jerky up for sale in my blujay store.  If you would just like to try one bag to see how you like the Jerky, this is the way to go.  I do have more than one bag available if that one sells.
That's it for me this week.  I encourage you to hop along with abitosunshine and to support others who are working from home.  I have a challenge to catch up on and I hope to get that done over this next week.

Squidoo Hopping 6/16/11

Welcome to another week of Squidoo Hopping!
I'm having a busy week with 4 grandkids staying over for the week and Bible school in the evenings (along with the other things I do every week), but I got more done in squidoo than I thought I would.

I updated All About Marsha with new photos. I chose to keep the older ones in for memories. I have a few more photos to add.

I built This Day in History June 5 in honor of the birth of my newest grandchild, Zelda.

I got an email from Zazzle on a custom postage sale until June 19. This prompted me to go right in and finally build my first Zazzle lens. Zazzle Custom Postage I wish I had more than just the 3 stamps, but I know I will be creating more in the future so this lens can be updated several times. I had hopes to use the text with big picture module and be able to link to my item with my affiliate link but I couldn't figure out how to save a picture from Zazzle. Instead I used the Zazzle module. If I am correct, we don't earn from squidoo if someone buys from the Zazzle module right? Of course if they bought something of mine I would earn from Zazzle so I would still earn which is super cool.

And, if you have time, please give these 2 lenses some love. They are on the bottom of my list and in the pink because of being too low in ranking.
This Day in History April 24 and Our Homeschooling Journey 2010/2011 Part 2

I hope to see several participate this next week---I will have a lot more time for everything next week!

Shop Hop Saturday 5/28/11

I've stayed pretty busy this week on crafts, so I'm happy with that.
I finished up the order for dish scrubbies and washcloths and finished the Minnie baby hat on another order.

I was able to finish the strip quilt and got it listed in my etsy store. I had spaced off paying my fees this month...oops! They are paid now. It had been awhile since I had even been in my store and had to get 8 items relisted that had expired too. Also, since the last time I listed something they changed the way you list. It's much easier now. You can find my new strip quilt here.

I also got a few more things made up in my zazzle store. A postcard, some stickers and 2 more postage stamps. You can see my store here. I also got another sale in zazzle this past week too!

I'm currently back to working on crocheting the double thick hot pads. I'm on a mission to see how many I can get made before next Saturday when we are having the fundraising sale at church. Half of what I make I am donating to the sale, the other half will be listed in my etsy shop. I still have loads of the varigated yarn to make in to the hotpads. This will keep my busy, but I also hope to get started on another quilt, some baby bibs, more fabric bags and some quilted hot pads as well.

I think that is all my news for this week. Thanks so much to Ruthi for hosting this Shop Hop. Please click the button and hop along or check out and support other.

Shop Hop Saturday 5/14/11

It's been a busy week with us hosting Mother's Day last Sunday at our house, then just a few days later I hosted my daughter's baby shower here as well!

My postage stamp was approved at Zazzle.  I plan on doing a lot more postage, hopefully this next week.  Sunset Postage Stamp

The other thing that I've done is to open up a fan page on facebook for my blog here.  If you haven't, please stop in and "like" me.  The more likes I get the better on getting my campaigns for reviews and giveaways.  (Reviews and giveaways are becoming my main business)  This morning I added a Welcome Tab to my fan page.  Let me know what you think please.  Marsha's Spot on Facebook

I want to thank Ruthi of abitosunshine for hosting this Shop Hop Saturday.  Please click the button to support others who work from home and/or add your own post to the linky.

Shop Hop Saturday 5/7/11

Good morning!

I woke up this morning and decided this was the day to get more products added to my zazzle store.
I feel like I'm getting a little better at the basic putting a photo on to a product anyway.

I'm having a problem. I am not seeing the products show up in my store. I just got in emails verifying the listings in to my store. I thought maybe I'm just not patient enough for them to show up....maybe still not patient enough.

I do have links to each one:

Purple Iris Sticker

Yellow Daisy Sticker

Christmas Kitty Mug

February Sunset Postcard

I also put the sunset on a postage stamp but it has to be approved first. I plan on doing a lot of the postage stamps with all of the flower photos I've taken and saved for zazzle.

If you have time, could you go to my store link and tell me if the new products are showing up in my store for you? Thanks!! Marsha's Spot on Zazzle

Shop Hop Saturday 3/26/11

Did you miss me Shop Hopping these past few weeks? I knew I would miss the Saturday that we moved.  I didn't intend to miss the following 2 Saturday's as well  :(

We've been in our new house 3 weeks today and it feels wonderful!  It also feels like we've lived here for years instead of just weeks.  That's the thing I love about this house.....how it felt like home before we even moved in.

I've been staying busy, which is nothing unusual.  I'm even pretty close to having everything unpacked!  Last Saturday I participated in a Monster Garage Sale hosted by out newspaper and held in a building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.  We had a good time, even though I did spend just over the amount that I sold.

I've had some orders during this 3 weeks as well.  I sold all 3 of the plarn shopping bags I had crocheted.   This means it's time for me to get out my pattern and make some more!  I have loads of bags cut to make the plarn with.

I also sold 4 fabric bags.  Two were in my etsy store, the other 2 were special order.  I have another special order to buy material for today for 3 more fabric bags.  They are by far my most popular seller.

Anyhow....after the garage sale, I sorted books.  I couldn't re-list all of them easily so only 34 are currently listed on homeschoolbuy.  I will get more listed eventually, but after letting everything expire while I was so busy, this is a good start.  I hope you will click over and check it out.  And, if you have any homeschool or homestead items to sell, please give homeschoolbuy a chance.  It's free to list, and I am the only one who currently has anything listed!  Marsha's Homeschoolbuy Items.

I will also direct you to my etsy shop.  I have reposted all inactive items and currently have 47 items in my shop.  Marsha's Etsy Store

While I'm add it, how about checking out my zazzle store as well?  I really need to get busy and get some more items created here.  I really need to make this a goal for this week.  I have saved lots of different photos to make into products there.  Marsha's Zazzle Store

Shop Hop Saturday!!

Shop Hop Saturday is new and the brilliant idea of my good friend Ruthi with abitosunshine!
Please click the button at the end of my post to be taken to her post and join us!

I know that one of my goals for this new year is to keep on crafting....and keep on adding those crafts to my etsy store.  I joined etsy over a year ago but didn't do anything with it.  It's only been in the past 2 months that I've gotten busy with it.  It will continue to grow.

For this weeks post, rather than highlight new items, I would like to take you to all of the different places online where I sell.  (please right click to open in a new window or tab as I don't know the coding to automatically open the links in a new window--thanks!)

Gifts Galore and More--- This is my original business website.  It's still active, but has not been updated for a very long time.  The prices were not even changed with the last postage increase, and another increase is upon us now.  To be honest, I have NO idea how to edit it!  The coding and programming that the owner of the domain uses is above my head.  I'm afraid of messing things up, and just do not have the cash to have her fix it up for me.  I will be contacting her soon, and may just take this website down.

Online Craft Mall  ---  I've been a member of the online craft mall for many years.  My Gifts Galore web front is from there as well.  I have several items listed in the mall, but there are also a lot of great crafters there.  The link will direct you to the squidoo lens that I built on it.  If you are a crafter, I highly recommend joining this as membership if very very reasonable, compared to what other similar sites charge.

Jerky Direct --- I've been in this business since Oct. 2008 and love it.  I don't work it as I should.  It's a nice business and very affordable.  The jerky is all natural, and no preservatives and tastes awesome!  Again, this is the link to my squidoo lens that I built on it.

Homeschoolbuy ----homeschoolbuy is an auction website.  It's free to list homeschool or homestead related auctions.  I've let this one go and have to re submit some of my school books.  I will be working on that some today.  Again, the link about it will go to my squidoo lens.  Please help me earn more on squidoo by clicking and upping the ranking of these lens.  I sure appreciate it.

Zazzle  ----I've been working here and there using what I think are my best photos to create items on zazzle.  These are what I have so far.  I have several other photos saved to make in to items.

blujay ---  I've had my blujay store for a very long time.  Before getting going on etsy all of the crafts that I had made and ready to ship were listed in my etsy  store.  I'm on my mission of getting them moved to etsy.  A lot of my crafts are still here as well as a variety of books and other misc items.  Blujay is totally free to list on and your items continually re-list until sold, which is wonderful!

etsy  ---my new favorite spot to list my crafts and my store is growing all the time.  I've picked up a lot of new crafts that I enjoy since opening my Gifts Galore and More website and you will find all those in my etsy store, plus some of the items that are in my Gifts store as I get them made to list.

Whew!!  Are you tired yet?  I sure am!  I have a lot of goals for this year, and I am very thankful to Ruthi for starting this blog hop to help keep me motivated to keep on keeping on with my goals.
From this week forward I will just be listing new items added to my stores since my last posting.

Thanks to all for reading, and I hope you will hop along with us and get the word out about your own shops online!
