I was given $30 to spend at the store. We were going to get taco fixings for supper and soda.
I hurried and looking around at pinchingpennies.com at what was on sale and threw together some coupons.
It wasn't a spectacular trip, but it seems forever since I've done grocery shopping with many coupons, with the exception of my Walgreens shopping, but that's not generally food.

Here are the highlights:
2 packages of flour tortilla's on sale for $2 each (reg price $3.25)
2 dozen eggs on sale for $.98 (reg prize $1.32)
1 - 20 oz Sprite and 3- 20 oz Coke--I used my 4 free coupons from mycokerewards.
2-Fast Fixins Chicken Nuggets on sale for $1 each and I used 2 $1 coupons (regular price $2.19 each)
2 Mentos gum on sale for $1, used 2- .55 coupons (doubled to $1) (reg price $1.49)
2- Country Crock on sale for $1, used 1- .30 coupon and 1- .40 coupon (doubled to .60 and .80) (reg price $1.58)
Pam cooking spray on sale for $2.50, used .35 coupon (doubled to .70) (regular price $3.39) (sale and coupon made it cheaper than the store brand)
I overspent the $30 by $6.75 so good thing I had some money in my paypal.
In total I used $12.46 in coupons and including sale prices I saved 41%.

Man, I spent a lot of hours cooking yesterday to get those soups ready for supper last night at church. They were a hit for sure so I must have done alright LOL I don't think there was one person that didn't come back for seconds, and most 2nds on both the ham and beans and the ham and potato soup. I definitely should have cooked 3 lbs of beans instead of just 2. There were no leftovers for us for lunch today.
I've been busily working through my cards today. One card that I've been passing by since I started putting together the file box is the daily one that says work on crafts. No more, I have my crocheting on my lap now and I'm working on it while I'm on here. I'm getting the 2nd plarn gift bag made.
I still didn't get anything extra posted on gather yesterday. I have plenty of photos and videos that I can put on.
I did update one squidoo page yesterday and that was my Betty Boop lens. It's dedicated to my 23 yr old (although now she is much more in to Tinkerbell so looks like I could build another lens he he) Betty Boop for Liz
I have my own little plan on how I am getting my lenses updated. I have a few things I can add to each but really only doing one thing at a time. I'm thinking that will keep them fresher and more seen.
As far as plans away from home today...I have to take my mother to her Thursday dr. appt. I also plan on a trip to the grocery store as well. They are still offering the sale on the buy 10 items get $5 off your bill but I don't have hardly any matching coupons left. Not sure if I will mess with that or not. I'm mostly intested in the bags of frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts and wish we had a deep freeze so I could buy more than just 2 bags while they are on such a good sale.

Good Morning! I'm running behind, which is pretty much par for the course. However, I've got my grocery shopping done, and the daily housework is done. I'm getting ready to take the girls to school then take the van in to the shop. Now we are thinking it's the fuel regulator that might be out as well as the bearings. I'm just praying that they are able to fix those things, and that with selling my other van for junk I am able to pay for the repairs. As well as that it solves the problem and I will have a reliable vehicle. Say some prayers with me.

I need to get into squidoo today and update my lenses that have monthly specials that change. It should have already been done since today is the 4th! I did update my lensography yesterday to add my newest lenses. Marsha's Lensography I need to update the photos there at another time.
I also did get some coupons cut and sorted yesterday. I hope to work on that more today here and there. The store is having the buy 10 items get $5 off special again, however, they only have a few of the items listed in the flyer. I did the one on the pints of ice cream this morning. I bought 30 for a total of $14.70...yum!
Better run, almost time to get the girls to school and the van to the shop.

Good Morning! It got windy and cold out and they say as the day goes by it will get windier and colder bringing in some freezing rain that will last through Tuesday. I did some shopping yesterday, but think I better send my daughter to the store for a few gallons of milk and a couple loaves of bread so we can avoid going out on the ice if need be.
I didn't get a lot of time on the computer yesterday, but still did get some things done. Cleaning the house wasn't one of them, so I am setting the timer today for 15 minutes of cleaning, then doing some work on the computer. I will do this for as long as it takes to whip this basement back in to shape. My daughter and her boyfriend are working on cleaning out the middle bedroom upstairs to make that their bedroom for now.
