I'm disappointed to find that my online earnings are down $12 from April.  It needs to continue to rise, not fall!

Frugal Friday With Marsha -- What's On This Week's Shopping List?

MarshasSpot

Last week I made my list and spending was $12.87.  Less than what I had to spend.  I received back a total of $3.15 between Ibotta and checkout51.
This week I have $10 in Walmart gift cards and $9.20 in Target gift cards.

I needed to find a name brand something to buy through ibotta to help with my bonuses.  I am choosing the Glad Press N' Seal because that is something that we need. (and I have a $1 coupon too) Also then bananas and milk, and Dr Pepper is on there again (thank goodness!).
Bananas are also my choice for checkout51 as well.

In addition I am picking up a box of Cheez-Its and a box of my Chewy Sweetarts.  These will be parts of my foods that I take with me when I start doing the wheat field inspections next week.   Bananas I will also take with me.
I'm also using a coupon for Yakisoba noodles $1/3.  They are .58 each at Walmart and they are always good to have around the house, especially for the kids that like them.

We are ok for this week as far as meats yet, so that is good.  Hubby did buy us each 2 more 2 ltrs of Dr. Pepper each this past week.  Maybe I can try to pick us up more is I have enough this week.
We are also still ok on eggs, cheese, bread and other what I call grocery essentials.

Next week will be more of a challenge when meats and those essentials will need to be replenished!

Until then, I look forward to any frugal posts that you choose to share with us this week.

Writer's Unite 5/28/15

MarshasSpot

I'm in a writing slump, I admit it.  I can't put my heart in to it.....and I have some reviews that should have already done.
One is a book, which is a good one, and which I am still reading.
Motivate me friends!

I'm writing just once a day on bubblews.  I do still enjoy the interaction there and also know how important the personal interaction is.  That doesn't apply to just bubblews, but all over the net.

How have your writing days been?

WIP Wednesday 5/27/15

First of all this past week I did pull out the green 2 1/4 inch squares.  I did get a start on sewing them in to 4 patches as you can see by the mess in my picture.  I hope to have enough of the St Patricks print to make in to a table runner.
These are the green for the soscrappy blog color challenge this month.  I already know that June's color is light blue.

I did get in some work on my fractured pineapple quilt.  What I need to do now is make this my ongoing, always work on project until it is DONE....and not get something else out to work on until it's done.  I really hope to have a good amount of progress to share with you next week.

Frugal Friday with Marsha -- This Week's Shopping List

MarshasSpot

I did get everything on my grocery list in last week's post except I got home and realized I forgot the onion and bell pepper.
In rebates from ibotta, savingstar, and checkout51 I ended up getting $3.69 back. Also 20 swagbucks for 2 printed coupons used and 10 cents from inboxdollars for one coupon printed and used.

This week I only have $14.10 to spend in gift cards and my list includes:
4 2-ltrs of Dr. Pepper
Hamburger Helper
Bananas
Honeysuckle Turkey patties
French's mustard and ketchup
bell pepper and
vinegar

Everything on my list except the vinegar (that I need to make my pasta salad) has rebates on ibotta.  Also a rebate on bananas fro checkout51.
I wish I could print more of the Dr Pepper coupons, but I no longer see them even if I could get hubby's computer to pick up the wireless printer.

Now...hubby shopped when he wasn't supposed to this last week.  He asked to buy Dr. Pepper.  I agreed after he paid bills that he could go buy us each a couple bottles. He came home with a huge bag of shredded cheese, 2 packages of bacon, and a loaf of bread too and had spent $25!
Ggrrr...not that I'm not thankful, but he need to pay bills over buying groceries.
I was able to use his receipt for rebates back on the cheese, break and bacon from ibotta.

We have grandkids for the weekend so my daughter so graciously brought 2 gallons of milk, 2 boxes of cereal,  ramen noodles, 3 bags of chips, granola bars, pop-tarts, and fruit snacks when she dropped off the kids.

Then, I did make the bi-monthly trip to the food bank.  No, I am not ashamed to tell you that we have started going every other month as we can.  That's what is there for, to help....plus, over time I have donated, and will continue to donate, when I can get excess for little with my coupons.

Until next Friday, here's to a frugal week for all!

Writer's Unite 5/21/15

MarshasSpot

It seems that I am still having trouble getting back into any type of routine at all after our week away on vacation.  Not just in my writing, but everything in my life from housework, other earning, my couponing, and my crafts as well.

I still have 2 reviews to get written up and one of those includes a giveaway.   At least I can't think of anything right now other than 2 things that are right in front of me.

How many graduations are you attending this year?  For us we had a 6th grade recognition for one grandson, but we weren't able to get out of town to go to it.  Then 8th grade graduation is this evening for my oldest grandson.  It's awhile yet before any grandchildren will graduate high school.

Write on and I will see you all around the many places and spaces on the internet!

WIP Wednesday 5/20/15

All week I wanted to get my sewing machine out.  It didn't happen until last night!
I got to work on my fractured pineapple quilt again, which needs to be completed in time for the quilt show in July.   I will be working on trimming in my Needlers group today.  I will have a better picture next week.

I spent most of the week working on this rug.  It's just about finished so don't know why I didn't actually finish it!

Otherwise I got out my storage box for hexagons and yo-yo's and added in what I had made plus some from other bags.  I actually just ran across another bag of them in my sewing room so still have more completed to add to my box.  I'm anxious to actually start putting the misc. hexagons in to a larger quilt top.  Plus I'm wanting to start another yo-yo table topper.  Oh so many projects that I want to work on all at once!

I just looked today at the soscrappy blog to see what this month's scrappy color is. It's green.  I plan this evening to work on green 4 patches.

Learning As I Go

I am still learning as I go about using the traffic exchanges.
I am still doing 8 of them each day, giving myself a goal of how much I am surfing at each one each day.  Often I don't make my goals, but I do get logged in to them each day and do at least some.
Some of them I am only continuing to work until I reach payout, then I will only do those occasionally.

My favorite by far is still Traffic Royal.  There are so many different ways to earn there, and I am still learning!  Just yesterday in chat I learned that there is an average surf reward.  Each day when I reach that, I go to the page and claim it for an extra 2 cents.  If I do that 5 times in a week then I claim an additional 10 cents.
I'm glad I learned about it by someone else saying they got their reward in chat.  I wonder how many cents I've missed out on these past few weeks??
Once I get enough money in my paypal I am going to pay to upgrade to their first level upgrade.  In speaking to people in chat they say it's well worth it and I will gain over what I pay each month.  I'm willing to give it a shot for one month and see just how it works.

A couple days ago one of the gals that I chat with here and there in a few of the traffic exchanges (TE's) that I do sent me a message telling me about 2 mailers to join.
The mailers are a lot like the TE's only instead of surfing through websites, you get ads in your email with links.
I never thought I would try one, but boy am I glad that I did!
As a free member I get to send out a paid ad to members every 3 days.  I will be sending one out for Jerky Direct today.
The one I am doing is Wild Hog Mailer.
It also has other ways to earn such as a jackpot game, the average click reward, paid to clicks, collecting icons and more!
You do pay a very small fee to join to open up the earnings, however, using the promo code Promo155  you get more than what you pay back in to your account!

Both of these (as well as at least one other that I do) have Zubee coin pages.  Zubee coins are an extra bonus way to earn while surfing the TE's.   Fun is what they are.   I am on a team there for a little extra added fun and a chance to win more if the team does well.
Once I have reached payout on some of the others, as I mentioned above, I am only going to join others that have Zubees.

If you have any questions about any of these, especially if you decide to join, please don't hesitate to email me at marsha.seiberling@gmail.com   or send me a message through my facebook page.

Thanks for reading and I am off to enjoy myself while I surf and earn.  I wouldn't do it if I didn't enjoy it.
