Good Morning! It's still rainy outside..I think it's safe that after days and days of rainy weather I can say rain rain go away, come again another day(or another month LOL)

I went to my doctor appt this morning, that went fine. Right after that I had my daughter take me to the grocery store for some last minute shopping on the last day of the sales. I printed all coupons that I used this morning from coupons.com. They have LOADS of great coupons to print right now. More Grocery Shopping 5/12/09 I wish I could save this much each trip or even better...it's what I am working towards.

The guy was just here with the Thunderbird but when I got out there he was driving away. I asked the guy following him what was up and he said he noticed the brake lights weren't working on the way here. So, he's taken it back to the shop to fix that. Let's pray it's just the bulbs and nothing electrical or I won't be able to get the car. It had lots of electrical problems but the motor and under carriage are in great shape. I really want my own transportation again. It's harder now for my daughter to get us to appts since she is now a taxi driver and gets calls all the time to go out in the taxi.

Bill collector on the phone...this same place calls 3 times a week, different person each time. They just don't understand..I am not paying on something from 10 years ago! I am worried about today!

Friday May 1

Good Morning! It was after supper time last night when I realized I hadn't put in a blog for the day.
We got really busy Wednesday afternoon and got the garden planted....7 tomato plants, 2 banana pepper plants, 4 bell pepper plants, 9 Blue lake bean plants, 2 strawberry plants and a row of lettuce. Still not as large as I would like, but larger than last season. We also went to the awards ceremony for Awanas. Jasmine got a certificate for perfect attendance, another for finishing a book. She also got a medal for finishing a book as well as a nice Bible for teenage girls for moving up to Trek.

Allen ended up sick with fever and sore throat Wednesday evening. I got stuck playing this game at iwon...mahjong dimensions. I stayed up way too late and when I was ready to go to bed Allen was up with a stomach ache. He is still home today as they aren't allowed back to school until their fever has been down for a full 24 hours.

I got some videos in on gather yesterday, then it gave up on me and wouldn't load anymore. I will try again today. I'm cashing out with gather today for $50 in amazon but still need a minimum of $75 more in amazon to make my goal of buying a laptop. Need to bust a move to get it in the time I would like...which is before we head to the Bible camp at the end of June for family camp.
The guy that sold me my van says he has another vehicle he can let me drive until we find something else. I need to call and check with him on that. Heather and I both have dr. appts this afternoon and I need to call and make the girls dentist appts.

Tuesday January 20

good morning!
It's going to be another nice day here in Kansas. By Friday it's supposed to drop way down and be cold again.

I feel I got a lot done yesterday. I put in a book listing on blujay, I crocheted on the plarn shopping bag, I got most of the coupons cut out, and I made a squidoo lens, which I will talk about a little later.

This evening is bowling, that is always fun. I'm supposed to pick up a bunch of bags from a lady on the way there. I have a dr. appt. this afternoon and may end up having to walk to it as I don't have a ride, nor do I have money to pay for a ride.

I'm going to share a recent video we did of Willo in the playroom. Jasmine took the video.

Now, on to squidoo. I built my 43rd lens yesterday. This one is just for fun...anime fun. I took the photos that Jasmine has saved on this computer so far and put them into a lens. It's pretty neat. I hope you will check it out. Anime Fun

Wednesday December 10

Good Morning. I am getting a slow start this morning on the computer so I will have to be at work before I know it. 6 workdays left until I am done there!
Yesterday no sooner than I published my blog it started snowing like crazy. All we are mostly left with this morning are icy streets. It's now supposed to be sunny with highs in the 40's and 50's the remainder of the week.

My only extra post on gather yesterday was about an email I got from mypoints. It was an anniversary email...I've been a member of mypoints for 11 years!! It is one of th best and most reliable sites out there.

Today's squidoo lens to feature is one I built for my 12 year old daughter Jasmine. It's on the anime Death Note and I've recently updated it to make photos larger. Death Note Fans

In other news, still no money order from those books, which leaves me wondering if she really is going to pay. That is a sad thought as I've already borrowed and spent the profit from Steve. Also I have a doctor appointment this afternoon. It's a yearly check up, so get that over and I don't have to worry about it for another year.

Friday December 5

Good Morning!
I am later getting my blog done today. My daughter or her boyfriend didn't show up to get Allen to school. None of the usual people that my mom call would answer their phones...so the secretary of the school came to get him after things settled down for her. I am so tired of this!! My daughter should have just let me homeschool him and we wouldn't be going through this stuff of getting him up early and off to school.

I am also late posting because I started messing with crocheting with the plastic bags. I am starting on making the Barbie dresses for the girls and it's just not going to be as easy as I thought. Once I get them done I will be posting on gather and sharing here.

I have a doctor appointment this morning. I have no idea if I have a ride to get there. All I can do is wait and if no one is here to get me by a quarter til then to call and say I don't have transportation and make another appointment. This is why no vehicle sucks!

Thursday December 4

Good Morning! When I was outside there wasn't any wind...no wind would sure make the day a lot more bearable as far as the cold goes.
My daughters boyfriend is going to Wichita again to have his broken ankle checked. Good thing today is the day the gal that's giving me a ride to work gets off the same time as I do. We already talked to them at math tutoring and told them we probably wouldn't have a way to get Heather there. Mom will have to find a ride to the doctor today.
Mom just really seems to not understand how aggravating it is for her to keep calling and calling for rides places. Then, if the ride isn't here right away she is callng them back. You can't just expect people to jump because you need to go somewhere and it's a LOT to ask for a ride for her to go to her doctor twice a week. (I personally think he is a quack that just takes people's money)
As I said, not having a vehicle wouldn't be near as bad if we weren't coming into the cold and snow and ice season.

Tuesday October 21

Good morning!
I did get a call in to the doctor yesterday morning about my back. They are to call me back if they can squeeze me in this week as the doctor will be out of town next week. That's always the way it goes, and so far they have not called me back so I need to call them back, or just go in to the same day care unit there to be seen.

I did get the 4 new squidoo lenses listed over here on the side.
I also listed all my lenses on my profile at yuwie...doesn't hurt anyway to do so. Not sure if I will end up building anymore or not until I see what these do, other than the book review ones that I have in mind.

It seems I did a lot of posting on gather yesterday...more than usual. Today I would like to announce a contest I am running over there. Usual Tuesday stuff today....work, Heather to math tutoring, mom to her dr appt and bowling this evening. With what's going on with my daughter, I don't even look forward to bowling...it's a sad situation.

On a good note, Interfaith Housing has gotten started on the plumbing here. The plumber thought oh, he could just replace the piping under the kitchen sink and it would stop the water from coming down the basement wall...I tried to tell him it was more than that. Now the plumber is in a bad mood because it's going to be a lot more work than he thought, and he's not happy about it! He's started now so I assume he must finish the work. He's to be back here for the day in about 30 minutes.

Wednesday October 8

Good Morning...well I guess...
I got off work yesterday, took Heather right to her math tutoring. Then I went to pick up Allen from school to get to his dentist appt. On the way there I had to pick up my son and get him to work. Allen ended up having 2 teeth pulled instead of one. We got done at the dentist just in time to find out that my daughter was still working out of town and I had to go and pick up my granddaughters from school. I got home from that, and went to just run into the house for a few minutes before having to leave to get my mom to her doctor appt. when we hear "ssssssssssss" It was the front tire of the van going flat. So much for taking her to the dr, she had to quickly call a friend and get a ride.
Today is Steve's day off work and he is going to get me to work and back, but I also must do some grocery shopping. I have no idea how we are going to fix the tire as there is no money. I've had to spend my emergency savings this past week to buy milk, eggs, bread and margarine. Nothing left! I don't get paid until the 15th. ggggrrrr to money!

On a brighter note, I did manage to quickly build another squidoo lens yesterday morning. This one is on mycoolcontests.com. I hope you will click from the left and read more details on it as it's lots of fun and I really enjoy winning the prizes. I will edit the lens at some point to include pics of what I have won, might get to that today, not sure. Here is the banner just to click on over to the site.

Tuesday July 29

When it decides to rain here, it really decides to rain! When it decides to be hot, it's really hot! Rainy today but thankfully a lot cooler outside than it has been.

It's been a busy day here. I had to take my mom to the doctor this morning. While she was there I did some grocery shopping nearby. I barely got her home and the groceries put away and it was time for my dr. appt. We weren't home long before it was lunch time, and after lunch I took her back to the dr. Later I will have to take my son to, and pick him up from his Tuesday evening meeting. I don't know what the rest of the evening will end up bringing.

This month is coming to an end. Enrollment for school is Thursday, the 31st! School is starting early for our area. The first day being August 13. I always start my girls on their home schooling Aug 1, the first day of the fiscal school year. We do this to get in days before I start my lunch aide job to get a head start. I spent what little time I was home this morning printing out 36 weeks of schedules for each of them and starting to round up their texts and such to get ready for next week.
