Squidoo Hopping 3/27/14

It's Thursday again already.  I swear I don't know where the days are going.  Here we are already almost to the end of March.

How is the weather in your parts?  It's finally looking a little like Spring here.  I don't believe there is any more snow in the forecast.  It rained all day yesterday.  Today it's sunny and on the windy side.

I didn't get any lenses updated or built this past week, but I have been to a lot of lenses.
Do we still have the limit of liking only 10 a day?  I've not been sure, but have been wondering.

Anything else new with squidoo that I have probably missed?
I also need to get in to HQ and read more often.

One lens that I've not kept up with is the one that I was listing the charities to choose from.
Another one is where I list the last 10 lenses that I've built.  I've built 11 or 12 since updating it!
Oh the work to do in squidoo.

Squidoo Hopping Into the New Year!

How have you been doing with squidoo?  Did you make yourself any goals for the new year?
In my card file on a daily card, one says build or update a squidoo lens.   That would be nice, but instead I have changed it to do something squidoo related.

I haven't updated, or built any lenses this week.   I have, however, been visiting squidoo daily.
This blog and visiting those who link up will be my squidoo related today.

I will be building more lenses, book reviews for sure.  I have made myself a challenge this year to read 52 Books in 52 Weeks.   A lot of those will be made into lenses.....I'm kind of excited about that prospect too.

I got a headstart on my goals and challenges for myself, and I feel like I am going in the right direction.  I just need to STAY in the right direction.  I'm thankful for online friends who have already been encouraging me and will continue to do so.

Squidoo Hopping--Lowest and Highest Ranking Lenses

This week I want to talk about lowest ranking lens vs. highest ranking lens.

Which do you choose to update?

Since joining the squidoo facebook group where we share our lowest ranking lens each day, I have really only updated my lowest ranking lens each day for the past week.  This has pretty well worked out for me because all but 2 of them I hadn't gotten to yet for my little bit of updating.   I now have 16 of 122 lenses that haven't been updated and papers moved into my new notebook.  I'm getting there.

I'm anxious to get them all updated somewhat though and move on to continuing from there to do small updates all over the place.

One gal suggested that I concentrate on maybe the lowest ranking lens, but to make sure that I do a bit of an update to any lenses that are close to moving into a new tier.  This makes perfect sense!
We all are aware that just doing an update improves the rank, even if we don't share it in the networks.  Amazing!  I still have my huge list of ways to update my lenses.....which will keep me busy for years to come, even if I never build a new lens again.  again.....amazing!

Squidoo Hopping--Updating Challenge Lenses Revealed

Good Thursday morning to all!  It's the day that I can reveal the 3 lenses that I chose to update with VAllains Updating Challenge.

I want to thank Virginia for putting the challenge out there.  For those of you who read this post each week, you know I've been in a slump for about a month or so as far as squidoo goes.  Her experiment not only prompted me to get to some updating, but I also learned some things along the way.  It's also prompted me to get to updating other lenses as well.  Two of those I am sharing in the linky below.

Here are the 3 lenses, along with starting and ending lensrank, that I chose for the experiment:

Empty Promises by Ann Rule  
Started out with a rank of 211,286, went to 77,136 after the first update, 72,789 after the second update, and has ended with a rank of 79,142 the day after the 3rd update.

Summer Sisters by Judy Blume    Started out with a rank of 222,549, went to 93,472 after the first update, 100,085 after the second update, and has ended with a rank of 105,081 the day after the 3rd update.

Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume    Started out with a rank of 241,734, went to 93,471 after the first update, 92,446 after the second update, and has ended with a rank of 92,935 the day after the 3rd update.

I'm impressed with the fact that they rise just with updates and no promoting.  Hopefully you will take the time to visit them now for a little more of a boost for me?  Thanks!  I have plenty more updates that can be done to the lenses and I intend to try to do some updating still every 3 days with these 3 until I've exhausted my list of update ideas.
