Squidoo Hopping--Copyright Question

Good Thursday morning.
Let's start with my question.

While looking through some old papers I found one of the old postcards I had bought while visiting Graceland. I intended to scan it and put the picture in my Elvis lens. My husband is telling me that since the postcard is copyrighted that I can't put it in my lens. He says I need to contact Graceland and get permission.
Well, since that whole copyright thing is pretty much above my head---can I, or can't I scan it and put the picture of it on my lens? Thanks. (So many of the pictures I put in with my lenses I get from the internet, mostly from wikipedia---I don't even have a clue if this is ok, but if I don't get photos from the internet just where am I to get them to go along with my lenses??)

Now, I have been working to update lenses. Some of them I opened to see about the donations module (which last I checked is still MIA)
Here is the list of lenses that I updated:
Legos
Grandma's Christmas Wishlist
Crash! Book Review
WWJD for Kidz
Kansas Our First Lapbook
Elvis Presley

I am stopping here this week. I hope several will have input on my copyright question, as well as link up below (remember I am now allowing you to link directly to one or two of your lenses if you don't blog about squidoo.)

Squidoo Hopping Linky 9/29/11--More for Charity

Happy Squidoo Thursday!

I'm still on my march to get all of my lenses where 10% is being donated to charity. I do wish there was some charity related to music. I would like the charity to somewhat match what the lens is about. There are so many charities to choose from. A lot of them however, are city or area specific. For example, I chose one before that I thought was to help all across America to needy families to provide a Thanksgiving meal. Once I chose it I realized it was just one town. I don't even know which state this town is in! Oh well, I did keep it on the lens.

I went in and updated my Elvis Presley lens to add dosomething.org as the charity. While I was there I seen that one of the videos was no longer available so I changed that out as well.

I also updated my Trunk or Treat lens. This was on the prompting of squidoo to change it's topic so it would be in the Halloween magazine. I did change the topic as well as added dosomething.org for the charity as well.

I have a notebook with my lenses written in it. They aren't in any particular order really. I started my list by going down my list of lenses and then have just added each one as I made them. I'm trying to stay in an order of the pages for the most part as I update to add a charity. It's easier for me to keep track that way and assures that the older lenses are getting some love.

Last week after reading Gale's blog post from the linky I updated my Legos lens. Gale's son put together a Lego lens and I added his to my list of featured lenses.

That's it for my report today. I hope to see many link up. Keep me squidoo hopping please! I am in hopes of getting at least one new lens built next week.

Squidoo Hopping 7/28/11

Good Thursday to all! I hope you've had a good squidoo week. I've been in and out as usual.
I only got one lens updated this week. My daughter sent me a youtube video of her boyfriends son giving instructions on making some Lego Linkies. So, I added it to my Legos lens. I know at least Ruthi has already seen it.

Have you all joined the Spotted Squids group on facebook? I'm glad that Ruthi invited me in to the group and let me know about it. It's a great place to post links to your lenses and get more exposure, get help you need, and make new friends.

I'm going to call this good for this week's post. Never know, one of these weeks I might surprise you and just get loads done in squidoo!

Resolutions Journal Week 10--April 3--April 9

Week 10 Accomplishments:  April 3-April 9

Read in my current book--Sins of the Flesh--and finished it.  I wrote my review on gather.
Sins of The Flesh by Caridad Pineiro Book Review.

Crocheted other washcloth and dish scrubbie for my giveaway.

Updated my Our Garden 2010 squidoo lens with quite a bit more.  I also updated my Jasmine's Lapbooks, Under The Rainbow Gifts, Helen Steiner Rice, Kansas Cosmosphere and The Vision Board, Gather, and Tiger Eyes squidoo lenses.

I built My Book Reviews and When Ghosts Speak squidoo lenses.

I started to crochet a washcloth, but got an order for 2 purple dish scrubbies so crocheted those and got them out in the mail.

As you see, I've been doing well getting posts into my blog.  I'm back in business!

You can also see that I really got going on my squidoo lenses.  Can I keep it up?  I sure plan to.  I need to get some better money made there.  All visits to help my lensrank are truly appreciated!

Until next Friday night, have an awesome week!

Resolutions Journal Week 9--March 27--April 2

Oh my....I don't feel like I accomplished much this week towards my goals.

I did have opportunity to read my current book, Sins of the Flesh, on 3 days.  I'm pretty close to finishing up the book now.

The only thing I did craft related was crochet 2 dish scrubbies and 2 washcloths.  These are part of my blog giveaway, where there will be 2 winners.  If you missed the post, you can find it at Win a Washcloth/Dish Scrubbie Gift Set!

I have been keeping up with posting to my blog each day.  A lot of this is thanks to the current campaign with bzzagent for the movie BABIES.  If you've not checked those posts out, please do.  For each click I get on what I post I earn 1 point towards winning some great baby prizes.  Winning would be nice since I have young grandchildren.  :)

I did build a squidoo lens that I am excited about.  Our Garden 2010
I will be updating this lens as it grows, as we harvest, and will be keeping track of costs as well as the worth of the harvest as well.
(this is what we spent most of Wednesday doing, and Wednesday evening I built the lens with photos)

I also updated my Legos lens.

I've been doing my daily posts on gather as well as keeping up with my groups there.  Today I did 2 pretty nice shopping trips.

It's been a busy week as usual away from home...I'm not sure that will ever stop!

I'm in the middle of making up Easter bags for my kids and grandkids right now. I was able to buy the goodies at good deals at Walgreen's using the register rewards that I earned Sunday.  I had the cello bags in my stash from being a Cello In a Box Affiliate.  We will have an egg hunt here on Sunday as well as a bbq since the weather is to be good.  (and we have the foods already for a bbq without having to spend any more money.)

Here's wishing everyone a very Blessed Easter!

Saturday January 10

Good Morning! I didn't realize until supper time last night that I didn't get my post done here before heading to work yesterday morning.
Thank goodness the week is over! Yes, I will enjoy that little paycheck in February, but it was such a frustrating week for me having to work when I thought I was done with it.
The weather was great all week. It took a turn with a cold front last night. It was great while it lasted.

I still haven't gotten my coupons done like I wanted. I will work on those today as well as getting bags ready to start crocheting a 3rd shopping bag. That along with my clicking on the computer.

Today I want to share the squidoo lens that I made for my son. It's all about Legos. I have some cool photos of things made with Legos, along with a couple of cute videos as well. Legos for Johnathon

Until tomorrow I hope your Saturday is a great and productive one.

Thursday October 30

Good Morning!
Yesterday the weather was so nice and it's supposed to stay sunny and in the 70's through Sunday. I sure hope it does, at least through tomorrow evening. We are doing truck or treat at my church so I don't want to freeze out there passing out candy like I did last year LOL

Today is Thursday. I am so so so so so thankful for another day off work! Heather will have her math tutoring this afternoon and my mom her doctor appointment, but that should be it.
I got 5 out of my 7 listings done on homeschoolbuy last night, so I will get the last 2 in today.

I sat and crocheted on dish scrubbies and washclothes while I worked on here yesterday. I have an online friend who want me to mail her some of my crafts that she can sell where she works for me. I am undecided on it. What happens to the stuff she can't sell? Plus I have to think of the cost to mail it to her. I'm thinking maybe I should just list them on blujay and call it good. I finally got the rss feed thing worked out on my blujay lens on squidoo.

Speaking of squidoo, I built my lens in honor of something my son loves, and that is legos. I have all the kids and grandkids favorites done now....and should do one on Elvis in honor of my mother. If you would like to check out the lego one you can go to Legos

Until tomorrow, have an awesome day!
