Natural House Cleaning Products Review and Giveaway!

Natural House cleaning products are a true cleaning revolution!

Why is it a "revolution?"  Because Natural House probiotic cleaning products brings you a revolutionary, new method of cleaning the most dirty areas of your home. Utilizing non-toxic, probiotic cleaning agents, Natural House products are strong enough for commercial clean-up, yet safe and gentle for all of the members of your Natural House.

Here's a little more info about why our all-natural cleaning products are superior to those currently on the market!

  • Our products use an eco-friendly cleaning method of probiotics that create a beneficial, odor eating ecosystem to naturally drive out and digest odors at their source.
  • Natural House's plant-based ingredients are eco-friendly, non-toxic and biodegradable to naturally fight the toughest problems you face in your house.
  • Our products, Sinky and Flushy even break down and digest fats, oil, grease, and solid waste to ensure your disposal, pipes, drain lines or septic tank run smoothly.
  • Our cleaners contain good probiotics which continue to scour, clean, consume odors, grime, grease, and germs, and they continue to do so until your next weekly treatment!
  • We earned the coveted Retailers’ Choice Award” at the 2011 National Hardware Show!
So how exactly does probiotic household cleaners work?
  • The surfaces in your house are like a garden. If you don’t seed with good plants, weeds will grow. You have the same choice with your household surfaces: sanitize for a moment with harsh chemicals leaving your surface open to recontamination or seed with probiotics to continuously weed out the bad micro-organisms.
  • Traditional cleaners “clean” a surface for a moment in time; the second the rag is finished wiping the surface, that surface is almost instantly polluted once again with ambient dust, dirt, and micro-organisms.
  • Natural House probiotics creates mini-ecosystem on a microbial level that produces enzymes which break down odors, dirt, fats, oil, grease, food scraps, waste and toilet paper products on a continuous basis between applications. This creates a natural, clean, balanced environment that is safe for even the most sensitive members of your natural house.
  • The action is in the foam!  When using your Natural House products be sure and let it foam first to release the cleaning agents before going to the next step on the package directions.
The short and skinny of it is this... our natural probiotic cleaners keep on cleaning long after you've stopped!

Please watch this 2 minute video to learn more about how our probiotic cleaners work.

(My review)  See the photos below that go along with my review of each product.
Trashy--Simply spray into your trash can (or diaper pail).  Let it air dry, or wipe dry before placing a new bag in.  The first time I used this my trash can was pretty dirty inside so I did have to wipe it dry.  It has a very pleasant odor to the spray.  It's a minty scent to me.
Flushy--Just drop the packet into the bowl.  As you see if my photo, it immediately starts to bubble up for the cleaning action.

Sinky--Drop the packet in to the drain, run hot water for 10-15 seconds.  You can see in my photo the foaming action.  If you have a garbage disposal, which we do, just run it for 1-3 seconds.  This also has a pleasant odor.  It's on the lemony side to me.

Of the 3 products, the sinky is my favorite.  Sometimes that disposal gets stinky and I didn't like that at all.  Since starting to use the Sinky product I have not noticed a smell at all.
I also like the Trashy product for keeping the trashcan smell to a bay as well.

Qwikshower Wipes--Review and Giveaway

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

Qwikshower Big Wet Wipes....what a novel idea!
The big wet wipes are intended for those times when you just don't have time for a shower. I had that time a couple mornings ago. I shut off my alarm and went back to sleep. I was woke up by a phone call and needing to rush out to take someone somewhere. My first thought--the perfect time to give one of the Qwikshower Big Wet Wipes a try!

They worked perfectly as intended, and once I got home I was able to get my regular bath. It gave me the confidence while gone that I didn't smell "dirty". They are not sticky and have a pleasant smell. They are a large 10 x 12 inch size, so they work well for your whole body.

Product Description
QwikShower Gym Class Wipes have been a big hit on the internet. Now, for a broader appeal, we've developed QwikShower Big Wet Wipes that will be available everywhere. Freshen up after a walk, a workout a bike ride or a fishing trip. Lunch after morning yoga is better after a QwikShower. These are individually wrapped 10x12 thick moist wipes with a fresh scent and cleaning power. Keep them in your purse, locker car and gym bag to use anytime. These are not little tiny pop up wipes! They're big and thick like a wash cloth.

(Taken from the Qwikshower website:)
QwikShower: The easy, green and affordable solution to Stinky Kids

Easy: QwikShower gym class wipes are large, thick and cloth like (10” x 12”) moist, single-use disposable towels. They even have a scent that teenagers like. (Yes, we tested them.)

Green: Unlike popular body sprays such as Axe, QwikShower wipes are non-aerosol—so there are no fluorocarbon emissions. That also means the scent won’t invade everyone else’s personal space or overwhelm a locker room.

Affordable: You can purchase QwikShower wipes everywhere and they're super cheap. Purchases from their site ship for free.

Pricing is very reasonable. You can buy 1 for $1 or 100 for $49. There are 2 other size options in between. As well as purchasing the Qwikshower Big Wet Wipes from their website you will also find them here:

Uglee Pens Review and Giveaway

The UGLee Pen is a revolutionary ergonomic pen that is designed, created and used by a real physician. This Doctor-inspired grip pen is redefining the way people view pens and writing.
The UGLee Pen is good for everyone who writes (even just a grocery list), and is especially helpful to people who experience pain and discomfort when writing, for example those with arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.,. It's also the best writing utensil  for children who are learning to write and are developing fine motor skills, as well as helpful for special-needs children who find holding a pen or pencil properly difficult. And for high-school and college students who have to take copious notes, this pen helps keep hands and fingers from cramping.

(My review)
When I received my UGLee pens in the mail, my 15 yr. old took one of them right away.  She is left handed and having a lot of trouble with pain in her thumb.  She really liked the way the pen felt when she writes.  In fact, she's pretty protective of her UGLee Pen

I left for the evening and it was funny when I got back home.  I found my oldest daughter and her boyfriend sitting at the kitchen table playing a dice game.  I noticed she was using one of the UGLee Pens but didn't say anything.  When they were done with their game she asked me where I had gotten the cool pen from.  I told her I got it in for review and giveaway on my blog.  Her reply?  "Oh good, so I can have this one and tell you how I like it?"  Sure you can, but she told me right away that she loved the pen.  She didn't have to make any effort at all to get it to write.  She carries her UGLee Pen with her everywhere she goes.

I have been using "my" UGLee Pen since the day they came in the mail and also loving it.  My oldest daughter is right, it takes very little effort to get the pen to write.  The feel of the gripper is a nice natural feel.  I have trouble with carpal tunnel syndrome, and so far no matter how much writing I am doing, my wrist hasn't bothered me.

I'm so glad that I was sent 3 of the UGLee pens so that all 3 of us are able to have our own!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Groove Kid Nation Music in Motion CD Review

Product Description
Music in Motion continues off of the success of the critically acclaimed first release, The Wheels on the Bus. This time around, Lee and his team of top L.A. musicians recorded an album designed to get children moving to the beat while simultaneously learning about musical concepts and instruments.

Through groovy soul tracks, this mostly original set draws kids into the action with specific instructions on what to do from funny dances, to playing air guitar, to responding to musical cues, to simply nodding their heads to the beat.

An entirely new band of feline characters known as the Kool Katz guide the fun, and the enclosed 10-page booklet features colorful illustrations of each Kool Kat playing their own instrument.

Ten percent of the wholesale price of Music In Motion will be donated to CARE, a leading humanitarian organization fighting poverty.
My review:
We had so much fun with this CD!  We've listened to it 10+ times.  Each time the kids are singing and dancing.  This CD may be directed for toddlers but all 5 grandchildren who live in my house have had a good time with the music.  Their ages are 2, 4, 6, 7, and 10.
Familiar tunes on some songs with different words.  Familiar words set to music in other tunes.
The little ones loved the pictures in the 12 page illustrated booklet included with the CD.
These Kids Songs are definitely approved in our family.
I caught my 2 year old grandson dancing to the music.  He noticed me with my camera and then started to get a little wild  LOL
More info on Groove Kid Nation:
Visit their official website here.  You can listen to the songs and order your own copy(ies).  You will also learn more about the producers and musicians.

put the seat down by Jess MacCallum Review and Giveaway

put the seat down (And Other Brilliant Insights for an Awesome First Year of Marriage) by Jess MacCallum

ISBN 978-0-7847-7462-5
Published by Standard Publishing

I looked forward to getting this book for review since I was just married July 30.  Yeah, the book is based for the guys.....and written by a man.

I actually read the book out loud to my husband.  I knew he wouldn't take the time to read it himself.  We had some laughs....some agreements....and some disagreements as we read it.

I really appreciate that this is a Christian based book.  We did look up some of the Bible verses cited in our own Bibles to see just how the version we use reads.  That is one thing about my husband, he joined my church after the wedding.  Now it's our church.

From a woman's point of view, the advice in this book is right on.  It's written in plain English---easy to read, easy to understand.  It's a small book both in size and pages.  Just 125 pages.  Each chapter starts with a cute cartoon.  I showed the book to our pastor and he just couldn't stop laughing over the cartoon at the beginning of chapter 7.  Chapter 7, by the way, is entitled holy sex!

Jess MacCallum has been married for 22 years.  He's also written another book entitled "I Married Wonder Woman....Now What?"  You can find his website at: http://www.jessmaccallum.com/Jess_MacCallum/Welcome.html

Along with the book came a little note that I could use the book for giveaway once I was done reviewing it.  I've decided to do just that.  Whether you've been married a long time, just thinking of getting married, newly married, or even single, you will enjoy reading this book.

Montagne Jeunesse Facial Masques---Review

Getting ready to head back to school or sending the kids back? Need a little time to yourself before jumping into the hustle and bustle of the fall? Need to get your skin back to beautiful after all the summer torment and sunburns? We have just the product for you, Montagne Jeunesse masques! Montagne Jeunesse masques are the perfect way to get yourself Zen and beautify your skin at the same time!

Each masque comes in its own sachet and there are many types and flavors to chose from.

I was sent 3 different Montagne Jeunesse masques to try as pictured below.

I was thrilled to be able to take part in reviewing the Montagne Jeunesse masques. It's been forever since I've allowed myself the luxury of pampering my face with a masque.
My 15 yr old daughter and I shared the masques. Each sachet is made for one time use but we found them to be more than enough to share. We both loved how our skin felt after using all 3.
Of the three, my daughter liked the Cucumber Purifying Peel-Off Masque the best. She says, "It peels off super easy and made your skin feel super soft."
I enjoyed the Warm Exfoliating Crystal Masque the best. I like the scent as well as the sugar cane crystals on my skin.
I loved all of them!!

I can't wait to try more of the masques. They are available at Walmart and Ulta Beauty and many other fine beauty establishments with a suggested retail price of $1.25-$2.25. Each masque has different "abilities". For example, the Cream & Honey Skin Polisher Masque with quickly unplug pores, remove blackheads and refresh the complexion, gently cleanse with unique cream & oatmeal skin polisher and is gentle enough to use daily. Eleven masques to choose from. I look forward to trying more and have a feeling I will not be able to choose just one to use one a regular basis.

The masques are great for spa night with the girls, slumber parties, stocking stuffers, "me time", etc. I know some on my Christmas list that will be receiving some of these!

Prefense Foaming Hand Sanitizer Review and Giveaway

With a new granddaughter born June 5, my bottle of Prefense Hand Sanitizer couldn't have arrived at a better time!
When little Zelda and my daughter, Heather, were released from the hospital many people came by my house to see them.
I went around with the Prefense giving everyone a squirt.  A squirt is a squirt of foam.
The first reaction of everyone was how Prefense didn't have that strong odor that other hand sanitizers have.  Everyone was also impressed when I told them that the Prefense lasts through up to 10 hand washings.

The 1.5 oz bottle that I received and hold 120 sprays.  Since you will usually only need to use it once a day for protection all day, this will last a long time.

Why Prefense hand sanitizer is superior to others on the market!

    •    No alcohol! Prefense is made of all-natural ingredients and has absolutely NO alcohol in it!
    •    Our technology protects you for 24 hours or 10 hand washings!
    •    Prefense is non-toxic and safe for kids! It will not hurt you if swallowed!
    •    Prefense is silica based which means it doesn’t dry out your hands like traditional alcohol sanitizers.  It actually smooths and softens your hands. You can totally see this when you apply it!
    •    Prefense protects against staph, strep, E.coli, drug resistant MRSA strains, and more. We fight germs that other hand sanitizers can’t.
    •    Because “one spray lasts all day” our 1.5 oz Prefense Foaming Hand Sanitizer offers 120 applications, costing only $.08 per day, compared to $1.20 per day with alcohol hand sanitizers.

Please visit http://www.prefense.com/products/  to see all the products they offer.  They've just added a new product--sanitizing wipes to the line-up!
The pricing is very reasonable!

Prefense is giving away the large 8 oz bottle of the foaming hand sanitizer to one of my lucky blog readers!!

I was excited with a new granddaughter on the way to  be able to review the product.  My daughter is breastfeeding and she was excited to be able to have the Baby Bond as well.  It was just that anxious wait for the arrival of little Zelda to be able to use and review the product.

Here is a photo of my daughter receiving her Baby Bond at her baby shower.

Heather chose the Baby Bond Couture in black for the one she wanted.
Once her and Zelda were released from the hospital, she came to my house.  With so much company coming by to see new baby, she was anxious to give her Baby Bond a try.  She said the instructions were easy to understand.  She chose to use it this time with the wrap around her belly and up.  (This is shown in the above video link).
Here is a photo of her nursing.  She is wearing a black shirt so you can't see the accessory well, which is a plus.  It's also the reason that Heather chose black for the color as she wears a lot of black.  By the way, Zelda was born June 5 at 2:44 pm.  This photo was taken the afternoon of June 7.

Scott's Liquid Gold Review and Spring Cleaning Survival Kit Giveaway!

Scott's Liquid Gold to me is a household name.  I've known about and heard about the product for years. They've been around since 1951 after all.  I can't honestly say that I've ever used it myself until I was given the opportunity to do this review.  My husband, on the other hand, made these comments when the package of products arrived: "Scott's Liquid Gold is good stuff.  It's great for wood.  My mom always used it when I was growing up.  I've used it myself in the past on my wood furniture too."

I was thrilled to be chosen to do the review since we are in our new house.  We already had the dining room table set that we had purchased at a yard sale, but once moving in, some friends gave us a nice coffee table as well as large end tables.  I didn't really have a product to use on them.
Also, we have a nice rec room in the basement with wood floors and walls.  The kitchen floor looks like wood, but it's a linoleum.

One thing that I didn't realize is just how many different products Scott's Liquid Gold offers.  Along with the 2 products I was sent for review, I received a flyer with all the products.  Scott's Liquid Gold offers their standard aerosol as well as pourable, Wood Wash in both ready-to-use spray and concentrated liquid, Gold Wood Wipes, Clean Screen and "Little" Screen Clean, Mold Control 500, and Touch of Scent concentrated air freshner.

I was so impressed with all the products (can't wait to try more of them, especially the Touch of Scent!)  I'm also impressed that the pricing of the products is so reasonable.  Even if you order online or through the mail, the shipping is also so very reasonable as well.

You can find all the information on the company and products on their website:  Scott's Liquid Gold

Here are the products that I received for review:
I used the Scott's Liquid Gold Spray on our dining room table as well as the coffee table so far.  I love the results.  Below you can see the dining table after using the product, and the before and after photos of the coffee table (yep, the before coffee table photo was after I uncovered it)
I used the Wood Wash on the floor in the rec room in the basement.  The products came just in the nick of time for mopping down there too.  We had sent 6 children down there to play while we had a baby shower.  There was spilled soda and Kool-Aid both on the floor.  Below if the after the mopping shot.  I loved it!  There is no over powering odor to the product like some cleaners have.  There was no residue left on the floor after mopping either.  Wood Wash isn't just for wood floors.  It also works on simulated wood and painted surfaces.  It's safe to use on linoleum, tile, porcelain, vinyl, chrome, brass, and fiberglass.  A very versatile product!!

Are you ready for the giveaway?  Scott's Liquid Gold has graciously offered up a Spring Cleaning Survival Kit to one of my lucky blog readers.  The winner will receive the prize pack shown below:

 Rules:
Giveaways begins Thursday May 19, 2010 and ends Thursday June 2, 2010 at 8 pm CST.

Oliver's Labels--Review

Today I would like to tell you about Oliver's Labels.

I was sent a sampling of the labels for children.   I chose to have my youngest grandson's name on the labels. (I wish I had thought to have first and last name instead of just his first name)  I chose the transportation theme.

Upon receiving my sample pack I was very impressed.  These are high quality labels and do just what they say!

Here are a couple of photos of how we used the labels:
Again, I am impressed.  So far, the glass has been through the dishwasher twice and the label is still stuck on, and still looks new.  The shirt has been washed once with the same results.

All stickers come with instructions for their use.

One benefit that I didn't take advantage of when getting my sample pack was putting on the Found-It Tracking System coding.  When ordering I was thinking mostly of labeling his drinking glasses over everything else. (another reason I didn't think about the last name)  But just think how many things you can label, and then, if the item is lost, the person who finds it can go online, put in the code and you are sent an email stating your item was found.  This is free, and a very valuable service offered.

There are a lot of design themes to choose from.  These are not just made to be for pre-schoolers!  I am seeing these used on your teens gym uniform and bag, or even your own work out items.  The list is limitless on what you can use these labels for.

You have a choice of buying one type of label in a set, or buying a variety of package sets.  Pricing is very reasonable.

Upon looking around the website I see that they also offer date labels, Kosher Kitchen labels and pantry labels.   Other products include:  Safety Wristbands, large and mini bag tags, and iron on clothing labels.   They also offer gift cards.   Great gift idea!

I hope you will hop over to Oliver's Labels and check them out today.
